Hello, and welcome to Yamcha's Anime universe! Some of you may know me from visiting my Myotaku page (username: Yamchaa), but if you havent visited or dont know me, then thats cool too lol. Im a big anime fan and ive been one for as long as i can remember. I collect anime movies, magazines, figures, all things related to anime, and im proud to say that i have a pretty hefty and diverse anime collecion which is usually constantly growing, and with this new world i hope to make new friends and spread my knowledge of anime to whoever may need it ^_^
It's been too long since i last posted, and honestly i dont even remember when i last posted lol. Ive actually been meaning to post alot sooner though, but i suppose it is always better late than never right? :)
Ive had quite an eventful month or so, and i doubt i can get all of the events organized enough to post about them, but ill certainly try lol.
First of all, id like to thank you all for visiting my worlds and leaving comments. Because of all of you guys, i was able to be promoted to Otaku Legend this month, without even posting once. I remember the morning i woke up and noticed the message in my inbox. I was out of work that entire week because i recieved food poisoning from some burritos i had eaten a few days before, and the medicine the doctors gave me wouldnt allow me to drive or operate machinery, so i was able to stay home for a week lol.
I was shocked when i saw that i had been promoted, because i hadnt been very active here on theotaku during that promotional period lol. I embraced it regardless though, because ever since i joined Theotaku back in the day - thats all i worked for. I always wanted to be a Legend, and someone people remembered, thats for sure. It feels good, and i hate that i waited so long to post about how cool it is lol.
While i was sick, i basically just watched movies all day. I watched Top Gun , Days of Thunder, Mad Max, The Road Warrior, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, and a few others that i cant remember right now lol.
While i was sick, i also found out that KISS will be having a concert in Dallas, and i was able to buy a ticket. (cost me 148$ but it's well worth it lol). Ive always wanted to go to a KISS concert because ive heard they are the best. So apparently ill be able to find out on December 6th :)
I also bought KISS' new cd a couple weeks ago, along with 2 of their older cds. I bought a KISS blanket as well lol, so ill have to take some pics of all of that for a future post, thats for sure lol. Right now im uploading some of my music cds onto my xbox360, so i can listen to them while im playing Fallout 3 and stuff like that, it certainly makes it more enjoyable for sure :)
Other than that, I havent been up to much, besides watching movies, being lazy and working lol.
As for work, my work schedule has changed a bit, I now work 4 - 10 hour days instead of 5 - 8 hour days. So now i have 3 days off instead of just 2 :) My new days off are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. I was able to keep my weekends off, they just added thursday in there. It's an alright schedule, it works out for me because the only day i am really tired during the week is thursday, so it works out well in the end lol.
Last night at work there was a confrontation between 2 co workers. One of the guys had to be on something because he wasnt making any sense and the other guy was trying to talk to him and explain something - but the crazy guy just blew up and started yelling and was going to attack the other guy. I was back there and so were a couple of other guys, so we were able to stop the situation from escalting into a battle royale lol.
Now onto the anime stuff ive bought recently :)

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
This movie is pretty old, and when i saw it up at work for only 5$ i knew i had to pick it up lol. I barely remembered it from when i saw it years ago, but i was always a fan of Batman: The Animated Series, so finding this movie was certainly a steal. I will probably finish this movie sometime tonight :)
Voltron Defender of the Universe Movie - Fleet of Doom
This movie was basically an OVA, it had commercial cuts in it, and ill admit that this movie was a bit lacking when it came to quality. I dont think this version has been remastered or redubbed from its original version, so i wont hold anything against it :0. The dubbing wasnt very good when it came to the oroginal Voltron crew, but i really liked the characters in the 2nd voltron Team. I also liked the 2nd Voltron better as well, i guess because he looked like a Samurai lol. It was fun to watch, but the dubbing for some of the characters put me off a little bit. Its a cool movie though, especially if you are a fan of old school anime stuff :)
Well, it looks like ive spent quite a bit of time on this post, so i think im going to end this one for today lol, ill probably see if i can post again tommorrow with some other pics and stuff like that :)

I wasnt planning on posting today, but this morning while i was browsing the Electronics section at work, (i work at Wal-Mart), i came across something i had been wishing for since i was little -
The classic 80's cartoon "Silverhawks" had been realeased on dvd.
The volume 1 dvd contains 4 discs and 32 episodes along with bonus features and and a featurette with interviews from the creators - and all for 20$
I remember watching this cartoon back in the late 80's along with Thundercats (both series were created and distributed by the same company and even had the same voice actors) and watching the episodes right now bring back so many fond memories of being a little 5 year old again.

I really urge you guys to check it out, my store only got 3 copies of the dvd, and i bought the very first one, so be sure to grab one quick! im sure they will be flying off shelves pretty fast :)

i just thought id post real quick about some stuff i did earlier this morning :)
I joined Marvel.com this morning and when i did, i found that the site has a "create your own superhero" function. I was really excited about it, so i started creating right away lol. Since i always liked the X-Men, i decide that i would make my uniform look alot like the old blue & yellow uniforms from the original x-men cartoon from the early 90's. Plus i always thought of myself being a part of the X-men anyways , so it only felt right to do it that way LOL.
I named my character "Decimator" because thats the nickname i use on alot of the videogames i have, so you could say that my X-men character's full name is Jason "The Decimator" Johnson lol.
I made multiple types of costymes for my character and i thought i would post pics of the 3 costumes on this world to let you guys help me choose which one i should use :)

I really liked how the dark blue and gold colors matched well, and the red gloves were my own little touch to match the red X-Men belt and "X" logo on my chest. I was even able to give him long hair too lol.
I have even gone as far as to map out a history for my character as a possible fan fiction, right now im just thinking of what powers i would have lol, Any opinions?.

I thought id put up a post to wish my good friend and brother Enin a Happy Birthday :)
I was hoping to try to make a wallpaper, or something else really creative, but i couldnt get all the components together to make something i felt would really personify what a great friend he is to me, so this morning i took my new digital camera and i went to a lake up the road from my house and took pictures of the sunrise this morning.

I really enjoyed seeing all the cool medieval/Knight related stuff he recieved from his birthday, and i thought that every great Knight deserves a Sunrise to stand tall under :) Im hoping to take pics of the sunset tonight as well, so be sure to check back for those pics too :)
It's not much, but it means alot for someone who means alot, and it has been and always will be a privelige to continue this journey called life with my friend.
This is actually my 2nd attempt to post this lol. Yesterday i tried to post , but one of the pics i tried to put in the post was too big, soit wasnt able to be posted, and i was too tired to re-type everything up, so i figured id re-post it today :)
The past few days ive been basically taking it easy and ive also been taking advantage of using my new digital camera lol. Its been working like a charm with videos and pictures as well and lately ive been taking pictures of some of the new anime/dvd/videogame stuff ive bought recently. The pictures are alot more clear than my webcam, so that is a major plus, especially when it comes to presentation here on my worlds lol.
Monday morning i used my digital camera to take current pics of my anime collection. With the mobility of this camera i was able to get all of it in 2 pictures, which was pretty much impossible to do with my webcam lol.

A while back i also posted that i bought a movie called "The Gene Generation". Well, i finally watched all of it monday. It was a decent movie, but at times it seemed like it was a made-for-tv movie that would be shown on the Sci-Fi Channel lol. I paid 13$ for it, but i still think that was a bit too much. I'll admit that the movie did have some cool aspects to it and some of the ideas were original, but the visual effects kinda held the movie down. it was an enjoyable watch earlier this week while i was resting though and id reccomend it to other fans of science fiction type movies/tv series.
