Overload: Part 2

External Image
Yamcha with Mr. Satan's Heavyweight Title Belt lol.

Well ill get started right with part 2 of the post :)

The first couple of days this week i really didnt do much besides watch tv and play Rockband lol. It had been a while since i had played Rockband and i got the urge to play it after telling a guy at work about some of the songs on there lol. Playing the game with my surround sound turned up has been pretty fun, thats for sure :)

After being lazy most of Monday and tuesday, - On Wednesday (yesterday) I found myself looking through the carousel of games i have trying to decide what i wanted to play. I eventually chose the game i own called "Metal Saga". Ive had the game for a while, but i had never tried it out until yesterday lol. i played it for about 30 minutes and i must say that it is pretty fun, and different too - not the everyday rpg type game. It looks like it has ties with the "Metal Slug" games, but ill have to check up on it to find out for sure. Im hoping to play more of this game soon as well though, here is a pic of my copy :)

External Image
Metal Saga

After i was finished messing around with that game, I did some cleaning and i dusted the shelves of my anime collection lol. While i was cleaning i looked through the Newtype USA Demo dvds that came with each magazine that i bought and i decided to take a pic of all the dvds to show you guys how many i have :) Remember - for each of those dvds, i have a Newtype USA magazine lol. Il; always consider Newtype USA the best anime magazine ever :) Here is the pic of the dvds :)

External Image
My Newtype USA demo dvds

Ive watched most of those dvds, but there are still a few that i havent watched yet :)

Also while i was cleaning my shelves i came across this anime movie that i bought at work for 1$.

Huck & Tom's mississippi Adventure

When i bought this movie, i really wasnt expecting anything at all, especially for 1$, but this movie actually ended up being one of the favorites in my collection. It is rather somewhat old, and it is probably something you would probably watch at school during the 3rd grade, but i couldnt help but have fun while i watched it. It doesnt have the best animation, or the best dubbing, but it is a real adventure to watch and i got more than a dollar's worth of enjoyment out of the whole experience. It's just a good fun movie to watch for all ages :)

well, i suppose this is finally the end of the post lol. Im glad i could finall take the time to update and share everything with you guys and i certainly hope you all enjoy the post :) I thnk you for visiting and i hope to chat with you all soon! :)

stay strong,

Yamcha

Overload: Part 1

Hello everyone,

Im terribly sorry that it has taken me so long to finally post, I had intended to post alot sooner (last weekend), but a situation came up sunday that kinda threw a wrench in everything. Ill explain :)

Sunday afternoon i was in the chatroom and i was having fun and chatting with a few people about random stuff. One of the people i was chatting with was excited and said that they had just recieved their 100th subscription on their profile here on Theotaku (which is pretty cool). I was proud to say that i had 30 people subscribed to me, and we went about chatting and having fun :) Well while we were chatting, someone jumped into our conversation and stated "That they didnt join Theotaku for popularity etc." I know the person wasnt trying to be mean, but for some reason i got the feeling that they were implying that i was only here at theotaku for popularity and that i didnt care about making friends or that i wasnt a real anime fan. I still dont know why it bothered me so much, I had been in a good mood all weekend and that whole situation just got me in a bad mood, so i just left the chat room and turned off my computer. I felt better about the whole thing when i woke up monday morning, and now it's just old news lol.

I know that all of my friends here on theotaku know that im a big anime fan and ive been here for many years (longer than both of my profiles state). Ive made some really close friends that know me pretty well - enin, Bulma, xaos, especially Enin, because he knows me btter than anyone here, and he has known me the longest as well :) I give all my friends , and the new people i meet all the respect i have - because there is nothing more honorable and gratifying than the respect of your peers :)

Well, now that im done ranting for a bit, I suppose it is time for the actual post lol.

Last friday night at work was pretty easy, so when i got off work saturday morning, I wondered around and ended up buying a Jean-Claude Van Damme 4 movie dvd set. I already had 2 of the movies in the dvd set, but i didnt have the other 2, but i figured for 5$ it was especially worth it since i hadnt seen 2 of the movies. The dvd set had these 4 movies

LionHeart
Hard Target
Sudden Death
The Quest

I already had Hard Target and The Quest. Ive always been a big fan of Hard Target, It is probably my favorite Van Damme movie - alongside Cyborg lol. I ended up watching LionHeart when i got home and it was quite enjoyable. It kinda reminded me of Street Fighter in a way. i watched part of Sudden Death, but not much, i still have to finish that one lol.

After the movies, i decided to clean my closet up a little bit and i pulled out my boxes of action figures. I found my Yamcha action Figure, along with all of my other DBZ/GT figures and i started using my webcam to take funny pictures of them lol. (that explains the pic at the beginning of the post). The whole motive behind the silly pictures was to take this pic for my fellow loooongtime Theotaku/Myotaku friend : Enin

External Image
Its a parody of his pic that he took of some breakfast sausages :) hopefully he will find the humor in this pic lol.

After i was done with the pictures, I needed to buy some more Mountain Dew, so i went back up to where i work and bought some lol. On my way back home i stopped by Gamestop to see if they had any Xbox360 harddrives, but they didnt, so i came home. Once i got home i was pretty tired , so i ended up laying down and falling alseep lol.

When i woke up early sunday morning i didnt really feel like doing anything, so i just went into the chatroom and chatted with some people. After a while i found myself chatting with Miss Anonymous about the .Hack// videogame series and it reminded me that i was right at the end of the 3rd game in the series called .Hack//Outbreak. Once we were done chatting i pulled out my copy of the game and decided to finish it :)

After about an hour of playing, i finally beat the game and had some fun going through all of the special additions you get when you complete the game. Here is a pic of my copy of .Hack//Outbreak :)

External Image
It's a good game (and a good 4 part game series0. Now that im done with the 3rd game, all i need to do is go to Gamestop and buy the 4th game so i can beat it :) Ill probably go look for it tommorrow :)

After i finished messing around with the game , i decided to move the 2 book shelves that sit on top of my entertainment center. (above my tv). Both of those shelves were full of anime dvds, but i managed to move them on the other side of the 2 very large bookshelves. I then organized my videogame systems so that now thet stand right above my tv - along with a carousel that holds all of my PS2/Xbox and Gamecube games. I watched the movie "Starsky and Hutch" while i was doing all of the re-arranging, which was a fun time lol :) Im hoping to get some pics up as soon as i can , thats for sure :)

Once i finished with all the re-arranging, I turned on my Gamecube and played Tales of Symphonia for a couple of hours. It's a pretty fun game and im hoping to play more of it pretty soon, hopefully this weekend :) here is a pic of my copy :)

External Image
Tales of Symphonia

After playing that game for a while, i switched back to PS2 and played Rockband until i got tired and turned it off lol. Thats when i went back to the chatroom and the "situation" ocured, which brings us full circle lol.

Well i think that will be all for this part of the post, since i cant post anymore pics, im just going to end this post and make another one called "Part 2" lol. Im about to start posting again, so be sure to check back lol

to be continued......... :)

The Wolf Lives

Hello everyone :)

It looks like im back with another post lol (finally).

I actually intended on posting yesterday, but after doing a bit of cleaning and all of my laundry, I didnt have much energy or willpower to much of anything that could be considered productive lol. however, yesterday while i was cleaning I did managed to finish the movie "Australia", thanks to Someguy for reminding me about the movie early monday morning in the chats :)

This weekend went by a bit too fast for me, Friday night at work was a pain but i managed to make it out alive lol. When i got home Saturday morning, I played Legends of Wrestlemania and Gears of War until i got too tired and then i fell asleep lol. I woke up Sunday morning and spent most of that day being lazy, mostly due to the fact that my legs and feet were still a bit sore from work friday night. It was one of the few days that i truly felt a little beat-up (which is rarely lol). I also came to the assumption that removing the modifications to my Futon was a big mistake because my body had been suffering ever since i had done so. So Sunday i basically spent most of the day laying around/sleeping and playing Gears of War lol.

I woke up late Sunday night (around 11pm) and to be honest, i really thought it was saturday for some strange reason, probably because i had slept most of the day. After inspecting the clock/calendar on my cell phone and double checking the time on my computer, i came to the realization that i had slept most of sunday away lol. i was kinda bummed about it, but i got over it once i remembered that Wrestlemania had taken place just a couple of hours before i woke up lol. So i hurried online to check out the results of the pay-per-view, in whic i was really excited to see that Mickey Rourke made his scheduled appearance at Wrestlemania. It was one of the main reasons i was looking forward to the pay-per-view honestly :)

After i checked out the results, i went to Theotaku Chats and chatted for quite a while. i got the chance to chat extensively with Someguy, Indi and Desbreko on some pretty cool subjects, such as the movie "Australia" and the anime series/game series called .Hack//Sign. After a few hours of chatting, everyone went their seperate ways and i played Gears of War until the sun came up :)

Once the sun came up, i opened my curtains and started cleaning my room and doing laundry. I also continued to watch Australia, which i hadnt finished yet. Once i finished my laundry and cleaning, I came to the conclusion that i needed to re-modify my Futon again lol. By "re-modifying", I mean that in it's bed form, it is honestly not very comfortable. Shortly after i bought this Futon, i made modifications to it to make it more comfortable, such as -

- re-added the 3 padded matress toppers
- addittional blankets between the Futon "mattress" and the actual frame
- tightened up any loose screws/bolts

After i finished making the adjustments, i applied the fitted sheet over the mattress and around the edges of the frame below to conceal the additional padding and stuff, and then added my usual blankets/comforters, and im really glad to say that it feels so much better now. I actually slept good yesterday afternoon lol, im still trying to figure out why i even took the stuff off in the first place lol.

Well, after i finished doing all of that, i sat down and finished watching Tenchi The Movie: Tenchi Muyo In Love, which i had fallen asleep watching on sunday. Ive always enjoyed the movie, and it is still one of my favorite vhs anime titles that i own. strangely i just get a thrill out of watching anime on vhs, maybe its nostalgia lol. Here is a scan of the vhs box cover :)

External Image
Tenchi The Movie: Tenchi Muyo In Love

I also took the time to watch episode 1 of the anime called "The 12 Kingdoms". It's a bit strange right now, but it is still enjoyable. It reminds me alot of Escaflowne The Movie in many ways. Im hoping to watch more of this series (i have the first 3 dvds of the series) as the week goes on :) Here is a scan of my volume 1 dvd :)

External Image
The 12 Kingdoms: volume 1

I also wanted to post a scan of one of my anime movies that i watched a while back (about a month ago) called My Neighbors The Yamadas. I remember posting about it, but i dont remember posting the scan of my dvd at the time and when i came across the pic while searching my photobucket accounts for my Tenchi the Movie vhs box scan, i knew i had to post it lol.

External Image
My Neighbors, The Yamadas

I am really glad i bought this dvd, and i kicked myself for waiting so long to watch it lol. It's a really good movie about a typical family's life and everything that goes with it. i really thought that i would be pushed away by its "Sketched style" animation, but i must say that i really embraced it once i started watching it. Its a great movie i reccomend to anyone, especially families :)

Well, i suppose thats it for the post lol. I really enjoyed typing it up and i really enjoyed all the experiences that went into it as well. Im probably going to lay down and watch some anime or movies until i fall asleep, since i have to work tonight, but im glad i got the chance to post today :0 i hope you all enjoy :) I hope to chat with you all soon! :)

stay strong,

Yamcha

Im also hoping to type up a Yamcha related Fan Word , if i can get all my ideas organized enough to put them in a post, we'll have to see lol.

Yamcha Past and Present

KISS - Psycho Circus

Hello Everyone lol,

This post has actually been a few days in the makingbecause alot has gone down since this past weekend, so ill try to get it all into this post the best i can :)

Frist off, Id like to thank you all for helping me reach 3000 visits. I know that may be chump change to some of the members up here, but its pretty cool for me lol.

Last weekend i also reached the end of Gears of War (xbox 360), I didnt beat it though - I ended up turning it off because i was tired, and eating and chatting in theotaku chatroom all at the sametime , so something had to give lol. I couldnt save the game anyways because i still dont have a harddrive or memory card, so i didnt feel so bad about turning it off lol.

I actually ended up staying in the chatroom basically all night until 7am the next morning, which is quite a feat for me since i tend to sleep quite a bit, but something special happened saturday night that got me pretty excited lol.

Well, what got me all excited was that while i was in the chatroom, i was chatting with a few different people about my original Yamcha profileand how one day 5 years ago it just quit working on me and i couldnt log into it anymore, but somehow it still stayed active. Well SunfallEasked me about it while she was in the chatroom and checked it out. After a few minutes and some Help from Adam, she let me know that my old original profile was accessable again. apparently there was an underscore in front of the screen name _Yamcha, that conflicted with the system, combined with me possibly forgetting my password hich had caused the problem lol.

Logging into my old profile was like opening a treasure chest lol. It was a door to the past, that i had pondered for 5 years if it was ever possible to be opened again and almost exactly 5 years to the date, Fate would have it's way and present me with what i had yearned for, for years :)

Ive updated my original Yamcha profile, and ive also created a world that links my old profile to this new profile. I even updated my original Myotaku page by changing the look and theme to coincide with my other pages :) The past and present meet as one and all of the links to each page can be found at the top of this world in the introduction section, so be sure to check them out if you want :)

Sunday i really didnt do much lol. After staying up all night, i fell asleep and ended up waking up around 4 in the afternoon sunday lol. I spent most of sunday evening doing most of the updating on my sites, as well as chatting and watching movies.

I watched

Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves
Interview With the Vampire

i enjoyed both movies, especially because it had been a while since i had watched either film, so it was pretty fun to be lazy and watch them thats for sure lol.

Monday i basically slept all day again, but yesterday I decided to pull out my vhs copy of the animated movie i have called Heavy Metal. Ive never really watched this movie completely through, i decided to try it yesterday. i watched about 30 minutes of it before i fell asleep, but from what i watched of it, it seemed pretty psycadelic, and music -videoish. There was alot of nudity and violence and it also had alot of science fiction themes to it. It's very different than alot of the other stuff ive seen, but somewhat enjoyable in different aspects. ill have to finish watching it today so i can tell you all what i ultimately thought of it :)

A pic of my Laptop with my external dvd drive lol (i know its a random pic lol)

Well, I think that will be all for todays post, i think im going to get something to eat and watch this movie before i get too tired lol. I thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post :) Im also glad to be able to share my original Yamcha profile/Myotaku page and world with you guys. I know it may not seem like much , but it's the beginning of my history here at theotaku and it is really exciting to be able to share it with you all alongside my new profile :) i hope you all enjoy :)

stay strong,

Yamcha

Im A Legend Tonight

Music for the post -

KISS - Im A Legend Tonight

Hello everyone :)

It's been a good while since i last posted, so i knew that i needed to post today lol. I just woke up and i had plenty of time and nothing to do , so i thought id give it a go :)

External Image

Im going to start today's post by talking a little bit about the anime magazine called Anime Insider. I noticed yesterday on the front page of TheOtaku News section that Wizrd had ceased publication of the Anime Insider magazine, and i really couldnt believe it. It was really hard to believe because the Anime Insider magazines were always really good and they always managed to weather the storm, especially when other anime magazines would come and go - Anime Insider would always be there. It's pretty sad to see it go, especially so suddenly. What makes it all ironic is that i talked in my last post about waiting for the next issue to come out and how good of a magazine it was. I guess all good things come to an end at some point, Now i have a collection of obsolete anime magazines

Newtype USA
Raijin Comics (books very similar to Shonen Jump)
Toyfare (another Wizard publication)
Anime Insider

Hopefully eventually another magazine will rise and find a way to take the leading spot of anime publications the way Newtype USA and Anime Insider did, because i really believe fans enjoy and need things like that these days, especially in places that may not sell anime such as small towns , etc. All i can say is that These magazines gave alot of people alot of good times and it is certainly a travesty that we had to see them go.

Now onto the main part of the post i suppose lol.

Since I last posted, i havent really been up to much. 2 weeks ago i bought a new computer desk and spent most of the day putting it together (im not sure if i said anything about it in my last post lol) and i also bought a few movies as well. Most of them are a bit older, but really good lol.

Last Friday i got a little spending happy and ended up buying an Xbox360 while i was at Gamestop lol.

When i bought mine, i ended up being really lucky lol. I planned on buying a used Arcade version, which would be about $159.99 (comes with a wired controller) and it doesnt have a hard drive, but the guy at Gamestop brought a box from the backroom and said "This is the one you want" lol. He said that a guy had came in the store a week before and bought an Xbox360 ELITE, took the system home and removed the hardrive, then brought the system back up there and sold it back to them not even an hour later. So since it didnt have a hard drive, they were then able to sell it for the same price as a normal Arcade version, which is waay cheaper. Plus, my luck kept rolling when he showed me that the guy brought back the Rechargebale wireless controller with the system (sold alone they are $64.00). So in all, i got a brand new ELITE 360 model and a rechargeble controller for the price of a normal Arcade model w/wireless controller. Pretty Lucky lol.

I still dont have a hard drive, but ill still save alot of money in the long run by buying a smaller hard drive seperately, since i certainly wont need a large one like the one that normally comes with the Elite model. Oh yea, i also got the service Plan too, so if they system dies on me, ill be able to take it back and get it fixed or get a new one :)

I also bought 2 games for my 360

Gears of War
Legends of WrestleMania

I bought Gears of War the same day i bought the system, so i spent all week playing it until a couple of days ago when Legends of WrestleMania came out, then i bought that game too lol. Im sure most of you know that im a big fan of wrestling, and also a big fan of Wrestling videogames, and this game didnt dissapoint lol. The visuals on the Xbox360 are just really good, especially for this Legends of Wrestling game. Watching the wrestler's entrances for all of the older wrestlers that i grew up watching is pretty awesome because they are all done so well. Ive found myself falling in love with the Ultimate Warrior, and Rick Rude's entrances lol. Ill most likely see if i can find some videos of them on youtube to share with you all lol. That game just takes me back to when i was younger i guess and the good feeling i always got while watching wrestling as a kid lol.I know Xaos know what im talking about :)

Other than playing games, going to the chats, and sleeping/working, i havent really been up to much lol. A couple weeks ago i got a message that informed me of my Upgrade to Senior Otaku+, which was a shock to me because i hadnt really been active on here lately - besides making a few wallpapers and posting occasionally. I did notice that the subscriptions to my profile had jumped from 17 to 29 in the past month, so im sure that has something to do with it. Im expecting to break 3000 visits by the end of the day, so that is pretty exciting, I never thought id get that many visits, thats for sure LOL.

A few days ago i managed to make some new wallpapers, here are some thumbnail/links to them :)

External Image

External Image

If you are a fan of fighting games, im sure you will enjoy them. Im hoping to make some more SNK/Fatal Fury/ King of Fighters wallpapers in the future, thats for sure :)

Well, I think im going to get back to watching the live-action Street Fighter movie lol, so i better let you all go :) It was fun to post today and i certainly hope you all enjoyed visiting. I thank you all for visiting and i hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong,

Yamcha
