Hello, and welcome to Yamcha's Anime universe! Some of you may know me from visiting my Myotaku page (username: Yamchaa), but if you havent visited or dont know me, then thats cool too lol. Im a big anime fan and ive been one for as long as i can remember. I collect anime movies, magazines, figures, all things related to anime, and im proud to say that i have a pretty hefty and diverse anime collecion which is usually constantly growing, and with this new world i hope to make new friends and spread my knowledge of anime to whoever may need it ^_^
This post is pretty much an update of something that happened last night around 6pm.
Well, My story starts at around 7:30am yesterday morning when i got home from work. I didnt really feel like doing much since i was kinda tired, so when i got home i changed and everything and then i laid down and started watching my Season 1 volume 2 box set of Thundercats. I ended up skipping a few episodes on the first disc because i already had some of them recorded on an old tape from a few years ago when they use to show it on Cartoon Network lol. I ended up sleeping for a good while, which is a rarity for me because i usually wake up from time to time because of the smallest things lol.
Well, while i was sleeping, All of a sudden i heard a large crash coming from my closet. I wasnt scared or anything, i was mostly curious as to what it was. i looked at my clock and it was pretty much 6:00pm right on the dot. So i proceeded to my closet and when i opened the door, I found out what had caused the loud noise:
Apparently The book shelf I kept in my closet, that held all of my anime/videogame magazines (Newtype USA, Anime Insider, DBZ Becket books, Toyfare, Shonen Jump, Raijin Comics, Shojo Beat, and all of my videogame magazines dating back to Nintendo Power magazines from the 80's) had collapsed for apparently no reason at all. there was absolutely no way to get in through the door because the magazines basically blocked the doorway and covered the floor space lol. I could see what was left of the shelves they use to be stacked on and i knew there was no way i could repair them, so i just started grabing stacks of magazines from the floor and moving them out of my closet and organizing them on the main part of the floor in my room.
Here is a pic i took shortly after i managed to get all of my magazines out of my closet and organized on the floor in ym room lol
This is a pic of some clothes and other random things that the shelf took down with it when it collapsed. You cant really tell since the pics arent very clear, but all of this stuff is piled on my bed lol.
To make a long story short, I managed to get it all organized again - All of my anime magazines/books are currently stacked right next to my anime video shelves, and all of my videogame magazines are stacked in my closet until i find an alternate plan of action for where i can put them lol.
As crazy as it was to have to clean that mess up, i must admit that it was awesome to look at some of the old Nintendo Power magazines i had forgotten about, and especially the Newtype USA magazines (which are pretty heavy lol) Those are the best anime magazines that ive ever seen, i wish they would get put back in print over here.
In other anime news, Yesterday i finished Season 1 Volume 1 of my Thundercats box set, and started on Season 1 Volume 2 as well. I've really enjoyed watching these episodes lately, Its been pretty nostalgic to say the least. It also makes me want to create some wallpapers as well, we will certainly have to see where that leads :) Here is a pic of the Season 1 Volume 1 box set dvd that i own :)

A few days ago i also took the time to watch an anime movie that ive had for a few years called Zone of the Enders: IDOLO. If im correct (its been a few years since ive played the games lol) This movie takes place before the games and explains alot of things that were talked about in the games. To be honest , i didnt expect much from this movie, but i was really surprised about how enjoyable it was. I'll admit that at times it did seem a bit rushed and it also did seem a bit short for an anime movie, but It reminded me alot of Macross Plus, which is always good. In the end, i was quite pleased, even though the ending is a bit shocking and depressing, it is an anime movie that i would reccomend to videogamers and anime fans alike :)
Here is a pic of the dvd case i own :)

On a short note, (Since this post is incredibly longer than i intended lol)Last night while i was on lunch at work, i got online with my laptop and visited theOtaku chats. i had a good time chatting with some people i dont meet often (Adam, Someguy, SunfallE, Shinmaru, Desbreko, and even my friend Enin who made a surpise appearance) It was awesome to chat with them and tell them my exciting evening with the bookshelves and everything lol, I was certainly wishing that i didnt have to go back to work, thats for sure LOL!
Well I think that will be it for today's post, i certainly hope you all enjoy the post and i thank you all for visiting :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)
Im glad to be back posting on a pretty normal basis again :) I had originally planned on posting yesterday (friday), but i ended up falling asleep while watching Vampire Hunter D and i slept the day away. When i woke up for work later that night, i just didnt have time to post, so i figured id wait.
So here i am, ready to post about alot of stuff lol.
As of late, I really havent been too active, I believe it has something to do with the drastic weather changes down here. One day its 30 degrees and then later that afternoon it is between 70 - 80 degrees. Alot of people have been getting pretty sick, but ive only been sleeping a little bit more lol. Im sure i could just be tired though, or something like that lol.
Work has been pretty normal, On mondays and tuesdays I usually spend my lunch break online using the free wireless internet in the Mcdonald's that is near the entrance of the Wal Mart Supercenter i work at lol. Ive grown quite fond of the wireless internet, due to the fact that it is exceptionally faster than the dial up i have here at home lol. Ive also grown fond of Youtube too. If im not on theotaku chats or posting during lunch on those days, im usually looking up anime videos and/or wrestling matches that i havent seen yet (mostly japanese wrestling matches). On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I split my lunch break with 2 guys i work with. When me and Anthony go to lunch ( we work in the same area), we usually play a wrestling videogame i have on PS2, and then when Kenny goes to lunch (he goes to lunch a short time after we do) The three of us play one of the Street Fighter games i have. It's pretty cool how we have everything set up like clockwork and plus it is a good way to relax at a job that can be a pain sometimes lol.
Throughout the past few days, ive been playing a couple games when i havent been sleeping lol. Ive been playing season mode on ESPN NFL 2K5 (a football game), and Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO, which is a fighting game that contains characters from Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, and the Darkstalkers series In my opinion, you cant really get any better than that lol. Ill probably find a game to play once i finish with this post :)
As for anime, Ive already let you guys know that i watched Vampire Hunter D earlier, It's always been one of my favorite dvds and anime films, even though most people i talk to say it is a bit "old". I always reply with "Whats wrong with old?, You wouldnt have the new without the old lol." I ran into a similar situation when i was watching the dvd of the original Guyver anime a few days ago at work. Here is a pic of my Vampire Hunter D dvd case :)
This film also contains one of my favorite japanese songs on it as well. During the Japanese portion of the credits a song is played in the background called "Your Song" by a band called TM NETWORK. If you like Japanese music, you should check it out :)
Ive also been trying to watch more of my Steel Angel Kurumi anime dvds, so far ive watched 2 episodes from the volume 2 dvd, Ill certainly be trying to watch more of that sometime today :) Its an alright show so far, it kinda reminds me of a mixture of Burst Angel and Galaxy Angel lol. Here is a pic of the volume 2 dvd case that i own :)
Steel Angel Kurumi: volume 2
And also, A few days ago i once again watched Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma. It is personally one of my favorite ninja animes, even surpassing Ninja Scroll in my eyes. Blood Reign : Curse of the Yoma was released years before Ninja Scroll, and i really believe that it doesnt get the due it truly deserves. If you are a big fan of ninja stuff or ninja related anime, then you should really really check this movie out, you wont be dissappointed :) Here is the scan of my dvd case for Blood Reign : Curse of the Yoma :)
Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma - The standard for ninja anime (in my opinion lol)
Right now as i am posting, i am currently watching the anime movie Zone of the Enders: IDOLO -2167. It was far too quiet in my room, so i had to get something playing so i wouldnt fall asleep lol. So far it looks pretty cool. This is one of the dvds ive had for a couple years but ive never taken the time to watch it. Ill be sure to update you guys on my opinion of it once im done watching it :)
Yesterday I had the privelidge of catching a great and longtime friend on Theotaku's post on his myotaku page. It had been a long time since he had last posted and it was really cool to hear from him, thats for sure. So Enin, if you are reading this, i hope to chat sometime soon :) This past week i also chatted with Xaos and Bulma for a good amount of time, which was also fun :) Everyone knows i enjoy chatting lol.
Well, it was fun posting this morning, and im certainly hoping to post alot more frequently once im done being so lazy lol. I hope you all enjoy the post and i hope to chat with you all soon :)
It's been a while since ive last posted, and this post will be a rather short one, mostly because im using my new laptop and the wireless internet up here at work on my lunch break lol.
Ive really been enjoying it the past few days simply because the wireless internet up here is quite a bit faster than the dial-up that i have at home lol.
Yesterday I spent my entire lunch break in theotaku chats , and tonight ive spent my entire lunch break watching anime videos on youtube :) Since this connection speed is better than the one at home, ive been able to watch the videos with no lag whatsoever, as if i was watching on tv :)
It's an awesome experience, especially for me, since ive never used anything more updated than dial up in my entire life LOL.
Im mostly posting because while i was watching some gundam videos, i came across the ending theme to the final episode of Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory and it was so beautiful i just had to post it :)
So here it is, In case you may not know, the song is called "Evergreen"
I know you all will enjoy it :)
I hope to put up a bigger and more detailed post when i get home in the morning :)
Its been a week or so since i have last posted, so this morning i decided to see if i could quit being lazy and post for once lol. Even though i havent been posting as much as i regularly do, i have still been visiting theotaku, as well as the chat section :) So dont think that ive forgotten anyone or that ive lost interest, ive just been lazy for the most part lol.
As of late ive mostly been watching movies, and playing videogames (if im not sleeping lol). The weather has been pretty eratic here the past few weeks - one day it could be freezing, and the next it could be a normal day that is somewhat bordering on seeming like summertime. When it is cold, i tend to sleep a bit more than usual, i guess because i just dont feel like doing much lol. Yesterday the weather was just right i suppose, and i ended up cleaning my room, doing laundry and watching some wrestling dvds i borrowed from a guy at work. Saturday i pretty much slept all day, mostly because i had plans later that evening and i didnt want to be tired from working the night before. After fulfilling my plans saturday night, i went up to work and met up with some of the guys i work with, while they were on lunch. I brought my Playstation 2 and everything and while they were on lunch we played Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. The game contains 2 games - Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and The Anniversayy Collection version of The Original Street Fighter 2 - which is a culmination of all the versions of Street Fighter 2 (aka SF2:Turbo, SF2:Hyper, SF2:Championship Edition etc.)
Me and a guy i work with mostly play Street Fighter 3 : Third Strike because it is more fluid and it contains the capabilities to do super finishing moves, which is always fun lol. I always use Ken and he typically uses Ryu or Akuma and it is pretty fun because alot of our fights come down to wire lol.
Over the course of the past few days , ive noticed that Theotaku has been expanding and adding new features all over the place. Im really enjoying some of the changes, and its cool to see that the new members are able to get exposure with the new member update funstion. I remember back in the day we had to venture out and visit peoples pages and make friends manually lol. Its just good to see that the process of meeting people and sharing yourself has become alot easier and simplified for everyone :) So now new members will have just as much a chance of being noticed , as people who have been here for years.
Right now, I am currently watching my dvd of Fullmetal Alchemist: volume 1. A few minutes ago before i started posting, I looked through my shelves of my anime collection and tried to find something i hadnt watched yet, or something that would catch my eye lol. I pulled some stuff off my shelves and took some pics using my webcam, so here they are :)
Fullmetal Alchemist: volume 1 - with dvd book that has artwork, character profiles etc. - Ive had this dvd for about 2 years and ive never watched it lol. Ive actually only seen a little bit of one episode on cartoon network and thats it. So far i have enjoyed the first episode and ill let you all know what i think as i watch more :)
Sailor Moon vhs Movie 3-pack box set
This movie box set includes
Sailor Moon S The movie
Sailor Moon R The Movie
Sailor Moon Super S The Movie
Sadly I have currently never watched these movies, even though ive had them for years. Im going to try to make time to watch them soon though :) This is actually one of the favorite box sets that i have. Ayone who knows me, knows that im a big fan of vhs stuff lol (for some strange reason lol)
I pulled my Tank Police dvd off my shelf because i felt like watching it today and when i opened it up, i noticed that the book inside - wasnt a book, it was a poster lol. The pic above is the centerfold side of the poster, the other side has clips from the anime, and some art pieces from the manga. This dvd is one of my favorites and i know ill enjoy watching it in a little while :)
Yesterday I also watched the anime movie called "The Wings of Honneamise". It is one of my favorite anime movies that i own and ill be sure to post about that one tommorrow, or maybe later today LOL.
Well, i suppose that is pretty much it for what ive been up to recently lol, I think im going to get back to Playing some games on my Nintendo 64. Earlier i played WWF No Mercy, F-Zero X, and Quake 2. Ive been having some fun, and before the day is over ill probably play some other games whenever im not catching up on some anime :)
I certainly thank you all for visiting and i hope you all enjoyed the post :) I hope you guys havent forgotten me LOL. Ill certainly try to update alot more often like i use to and try to not be so lazy lol. I hope to chat with you all soon :)
Hello everyone, its certainly been a while since i last posted, about 2 weeks i think, so i figure today is as good a day as any to get back in the groove :)
I really havent been up to much lately, ive mostly been working, coming home, eating , cleaning and sleeping lol. Ive been playing some games and watching movies/anime of and on as well :)
A couple days ago i watched Legend of Crystania because i had the urge to eventually make some wallpapers for it :) I really enjoyed watching it this time around and i found myself liking the music a bit more than i did before, along with a couple of characters, so i look forward to making some wallpapers when i get the chance :)
Legend of Crystania
I also watched:
Street Fighter Alpha Generations
I enjoyed this movie alot more this time around because i had help from Xaos to explain some things, that helped the story blend together alot better :)
A few days ago while i was visiting Bulma's world, i found out that Ricardo Mantalban had ided. I felt pretty bad because i really enjoyed him in the Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan movie (for those who may not know, he played Khan). The next morning when i got home from work, i pulled out my dvd of Star Trek 2 and watched it. It's still one of my favorite Star Trek movies :)
As for Bulma, I noticed that she put up a post about me a couple days ago, wondering where ive been. I felt bad about making her worry so much, because usually im always online and always sending messages to people and chatting and everything lol. I guess i dropped off the radar for longer than i expected to. Ill have to make it up to her sometime, thats for sure - she is such a great friend :)
As for other movies that ive watched, I watched
Kill Bill
Kill Bill volume 2
Desperado
Once Upon A Time In Mexico
And right now i am currently watching Point Breaklol. Im sure ill find something else to watch before the day is over :)
Now onto the Big news :)
When i woke up this morning, I got online and was checking my email and some other sites, and when i came to check Theotaku, i noticed i had recieved a message. I instinctly figured it was a message from one of my friends wondering how i had been doing or something like that, but it ended up being a message from Theotaku Staff informing me that i had been upgraded to Senior Otaku status lol. I must say that i was really excited and I still am, and to add to the surprises - when i went into the Theotaku chats earlier before posting, I was informed by a couple other members there that Adam had been giving good comments about me to others, and that i have been pretty popular recently around theotaku. It was quite flattering that anyone would have good comments about me, and especially someone who is highly regarded as Adam. I also never really knew thati was that popular here lol, i guess ill have to do more chatting to figure out the reason and the source i suppose. Either way, i certainly appreciate all the visits and good comments from you all, no matter who you are. They are what keep me going and keep me having fun, and thats certainly what is mostly important :)
Well, i think that will be it for todays post, I think im going to get something to eat, finish this movie and head back to Theotaku chats to get more info and that stuff :) I certainly thank you all for visiting, and i hope you all enjoyed the post, Ill try not to take so long between posts next time lol :)
