Evangelion Intermission

I screwed up the link in the other post, so im just going to put this video in its own post, hopefully it will work :)

here is the version of "Cruel Angel's Thesis" that plays during the Intermission between the "Death" and "Rebirth" sections of the movie Evangelion: Death and Rebirth

I couldnt get the actual video box to pop up in the post, so here is a direct link to the video

Music On The Mind

Hello everyone :)

I think this might be the first time that ive posted 3 days in a row lol. I must say that ive been enjoying posting the past few days. Ive also been trying to put more things in my posts, like more pics, and my thoughts on certain anime shows that ive been watching. Today ive been pretty much taking it easy, so i thought id put up a post with some new stuff :)

Yesterday, shortly after posting, I had the pleasure of chatting with Bulma for a little bit. I was watching the survival show called "Man vs Wild", while i was chatting with her lol. She was pretty busy though, but im really glad we were able to chat, even if it was just for a few minutes ^^ She's always a pleasure to converse with thats for sure :) While she was busy, I ended up laying down and falling asleep again (which is a bad habit of mine lol). I woke up around 10pm last night and had the urge to watch my 2 volumes of the anime series RahXephon. I have volumes 2 and 3, but i only managed to watch the first episode of volume 2 before i fell asleep again LOL.

Volume 3

This time i slept until 2am this morning and thats when i woke up for good :) I woke up to the music playing from the RahXephon dvd main menu, which was turned up pretty loud. Im still wondering how i managed to fall asleep with it that loud lol. When i woke up i didnt even get out of bed, I just searched for my remotes under my sheets/blankets and started watching volume 2 again. Ive had volumes 2 and 3 of RahXephon for about 2 or 3 years now and ive never watched them until this morning. To be honest, at around episode 8 I started to get into the groove and start enjoying the show. The animation is done really well and it is really clear, I even found myself liking a couple of the characters. I also noticed while watching the credits to one of the episodes that Tiffany Grant (The person who voiced Misato from Evangelion) does the voices to one of the characters, which was really ironic since i had just recently finished watching Evangelion lol. At the end of volume 2, things started to pick up, so im pretty excited about watching Volume 3, which i'll probably start watching it a little later today before i go to sleep :)

After i finished Volume 2, I started cleaning my room and i started my laundry. I got something to eat (pizza) and then started watching some more anime demo dvds :)

I watched :

Grenadier: episode 1
Desert Punk: Episode 1
FLCL: episode 2

and right now im watching Episode 4 of an anime called Midori Days

Ill be sure to let you all know my opinions on these shows probably in my next post :)

The main reason why i wanted to post today, is because this morning after watching a couple of those episodes and after i had cleaned, I found my microphone in my closet :) When i found it, i knew i had to try something. Remember a few posts ago when i told you guys about the version of "Cruel Angel Thesis" that played during the intermission between the Death and Rebirth sections of Evangelion Death and Rebirth? Well this morning i used my webcam and microphone to record the song in video form :) I just played the movie on my computer, then turned my surround sound volume to my computer way up and hit record. It took me a few tries because random noises kept messing up the recording lol, but i finally finished it and uploaded it to my photobucket account (which took about 2 hours). Its one of my coolest and favorite creations. While the music was recording i just placed Both Evangelion dvd cases on my computer desk and had my webcam focus on them while it was recording. I would have recorded the actual movie part of the intermission, but i would have had to point my webcam at my computer screen and thats basically useless because the camera catches interference and doesnt record cleanly. The music was my main focus though and i really hope everyone that visits will watch the video and let me know what you all think :) it's a beautiful song ^^

Here is the video, i hope it works lol!

Neon Genesis Evangelion - Intermission between "Death" and "Rebirth" sections

I really hope that video works, let me know if there is any problems :)

Well, i think that will be all for today, It's starting to rain here (i hoped it would lol) It has also been alot colder here as well which is the way i like it as well. Im gonna go and lay down and watch some more anime stuff :) I hope you all enjoy the post , epecially the video, and i thank you all for visiting :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)

The Fate of Destruction Is Also The Joy Of Rebirth

Im here again with yet another unplanned post lol. I originally didnt have any intentions of posting today, because i usually am just lazy on Sundays and i usually try to find something to do around the house such as laundry, cleaning, organizing stuff in my room (mostly stuff i can never get to throughout the week). Yesterday, shortly after i posted, i originally planned on watching some anime dvds, but as fate would have it - i ended up laying down and falling asleep lol. I woke up off an on: once around 8pm and again around midnight. When i wke up around midnight, i went through the channels on tv and noticed that one channel was showing "A Fistful of Dollars", so i watched the rest of that movie and made some ramen to eat. It was pretty cold last night and into the morning hours, so eating all those hot noodles helped quite a bit lol. Well, around 2am this morning I came to terms that it was time to watch End of Evangelion. I was honestly scared, and worried as well. I personally dont like watching the end of anime series, but i knew the End of Evangelion wouldnt hold anything back. I found myself watching the movie with the audio commentary on. The commentary was done by 3 of the voice actors: Jason Lee, Amanda Winn Lee, and another guy i cant remember the name too lol. They explained alot of things in detail and ofen joked about stuff they enjoyed about the movie and pointed out little details as the movie played. The movie itself (as well as the previous movie and the series) is a visual and philosophical masterpiece and i must admit that it was depressing and confusing at times. The audio commentary from the voice actors really took alot of the emotional weight off of me while i watched it, because i tried to watch it as if i was on the outside looking in, instead of mentally putting myself in the same situation as the characters (which is something i do with alot of anime shows i like lol. plus with the commentary on, i felt like i was watching it with a group instead of myself - which also helped negate the "lonely, depressing/im watching this alone" factor. Overall, i really liked the movie and i really think every anime fan should watch the series and both movies, because i truly believe it is the greatest culmination of overall animation that i have had the pleasure of witnessing in my lifetime :)

Those of you who are subscribed to me will probably notice that i made 2 new wallpapers this morning :) I made them shortly after i watch End of Evangelion. I created the Vegeta wallpaper first, to try and get the hang of all my editing and creating tools again, then i put them to the test while making the Evangelion related wallpaper :) Im pretty proud of them both, especially since it had been a good while since i had contributed to Theotaku by means of creations. I always thank you guys for checking out my creations. I know they arent as cool and as high tech as some of the other creations here, but i try to create wallpapers that havent been seen before, and/or things that havent been done before. My own visions and pieces of anime series that stick out in my mind :) I also enjoy being a part of suggesting new sections for anime series that arent represented here on Theotaku yet, which i hope to get back to doing real soon lol. I know ive been a bit lazy lately thats for sure :)

Ive been making up for lost time though. Later this morning, I started watching some anime demo dvds again.

I watched

Jinki Extend: episode 1
Tenchi Muyo GXP: episode 1
Voltron: episode 1

I also watched an anime demo dvd/catalog called : Media Blasters Animeworks Catalog. The dvd had a huge list of anime titles with prices and availability dates. It also had trailers for each series/movie. Here are some screenshots of a couple anime movies that i watched the trailers for.

Ys: the movie

Ys: Castle in the Heavens

Both of the Ys movies are based on the popular rpg game on Super Nintendo. based on what ive seen from the trailers, they are very similar to Record of Lodoss War in appearance and in story :) Id sure like to get my hands on those 2 movies lol

The Weathering Continent

I had the pleasure of recording this movie from tv a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed it. Its a fantasy type movie that is kind of a mixture of Saiyuki, Desert Punk, and Record of Lodoss War. It's a bit different and somewhat short for an anime movie, but i liked the animation and it was overall an awesome movie in my opinion, especially if you are into fantasy type stuff :)

I lok forward to checking out more of my dvds and alot more of the anime movies/series that are on the list of this dvd catalog, so you can count on me telling you all the details and my opinions on some of the trailer i see :)

In the meantime, i think that will be all for todays post lol. Im pretty tired again and I think im going to get a shower and lay down and possibly try to watch some more anime episodes on these demo dvds. I really want to thank you all for the comments on my wallpapers and the feedback on my posts, it really means alot ^^

I hope you all enjoyed the post and i hope to chat with you all soon :)

100,000 Years

The mystical "Revolutionary Girl Utena" poster lol - (to the far left of the guitar in the corner) :)

Well, i told you guys that id post a picof the poster once i got it back up on my wall lol.

I havent been up to much today - I played ESPN NFL 2K5 (a football videogame for xbox) for a little while, and i also took the time to clean and organize my computer desk. Now its not such a jumbled mess of everything lol.

Last night at work was pretty easy. The highlight of last night at work was during lunch when myself and a friend at work were playing Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (a wrestling videogame for PS2). We fought each other in an Extreme Rules Match. He put his ECW World Heavyweight Title on the line and I put my WCW World Heavyweight Title on the line for ultimate wrestling superiority lol. We used all sorts of weapons throughout the match - chairs, ladders, tables, a broom, kendo sticks, metal ring stairs and our wide aray of wrestling moves lol. The deciding moment of the match came when my friend laid my wreslter on top of a table, then proceeded to jump off of the top of the ring corner and do a body splash on me. I managed to roll off of the table at the last second, causing his wrestler go right through the table lol. After that, i just rolled him over and pinned him for the win lol. It was one of the rare times i actually got into the game and stood up and cheered when i won, it was a fitting end to an overall good week thats for sure

Jason "The Decimator" Johnson defeats Anthony "The Enforcer" Reyes to win the ECW World Heavyweight Title and to also defend the WCW World Heavyweight Title

Ill have to find a way to get a pic of our created wrestlers, so you all can get a better grasp of how everything looks lol.

Well guys, i think that will be it for todays post, I think im going to lay down and watch End of Evangelion, im pretty tired LOL. I thank you all for visiting and i hope you enjoyed the post :) I hope to chat with you all soon :)

stay strong,

Caption Battle Decimator

Hello everyone :)

It looks like im back again for another post :)

This post will be a little different today though, because this week ive managed to find myself in a really good mood, especially when i got home from work this morning lol. Shortly after i got home, I got online and everything and came to Theotaku like i usually do to see if i got any comments or messages. On the Homepage i noticed that they had chosen the winner for the Halloween Caption Battle. I clicked the link to see who had won, having a slim chance of hoping that i had won. I didnt win, but i came in 2nd place , which is still really awesome lol. It was the first contest i had ever entered on Theotaku and it was just really cool to get the chance to have fun and see what i could do :) I also noticed that i jumped about 15 visits from last night, which is a pretty big jump for my page. Im sure the contest results got a little more exposure to my World and i sure hope to meet alot of new people thats for sure ^^

Im also glad to say that I had a great time reading my good friend Enin's post this morning as well. He recently got to to to another Polysics concert, which im glad he enjoyed. You all should visit his world and check out his pics, they are truly priceless and a fitting memory for a friend who is truly deserving of the fun i know he had :)

Also before i forget, In my last post i told you guys that i had only watched the "Rebirth" half of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth. In actuality i did watch the entire dvd, and both "Death" & "Rebirth" parts. What threw me off was that the dvd is a double sided dvd, so i thought that the parts would be seperated on each side of the disc because one side says "ALPHA" and the other says "OMEGA". The opposite side of the dvd just has special features like trailers for both movies, Alot of information about characters, and alot of information that helps understand the series a bit easier. I'll have to check out the special features again so i can give you all a more in depth look at what it presents :) I will say that the version of "Cruel Angel Thesis" during the Death and Rebirth Intermission was my favorite version of the song of all time. I wish there was a way that i could let you all hear it if you already havent, maybe i can figure something outin the next couple of days in order to share it with you :)

Ill probably be watching End of Evangelion either sometime today or maybe this weekend. Im still not sure if im mentally or emotionally prepared for End of Evangelion, but i am looking forward to finally watching it and getting a better grip and understanding of the ending of the series as it was meant to be seen, even if it may be unpleasant or depressing, so ill be sure to keep you all updated on that too.

Tuesday night while i was at work, i was on break so i decided to go and look around the magazine section, which is pretty normal for me lol. I was originally going to buy a new book, very similar to a Shonen Jump, but as i started looking around, I noticed that we sell actual manga series from a few anime series like DBZ, Fruits Basket, Naruto, Bleach and Vampire Knight. I was pretty excited because they had quite a few volumes, mostly for Naruto, I ended up buying all 3 volumes they had available for DBZ, volumes 1, 2 and 3, here is a pic :)

Im sure ill buy the 2 volumes of Fruits Basket they have and i may check out the Vampire Knight ones as well, ive always liked the gothic/Castlevania type artwork so im sure ill make my way to it eventually lol.

Other than that i havent really been up to much, This week has been pretty smooth and work hasnt been a hassle. Ive even been sleeping better which reminds me - I found my "Revolutionary Girl Utena" poster monday and i put it on the wall near my bed, so maybe it is an omen of the mystical powers of goodness that the poster probably beholds LOL. Ill be sure to get a picture of it for tommorrow's post so you all can revell in its greatness ^^

Well, I think im going to try to find something to do to pass the time lol. I may make some more wallpapers in a little bit, or play some videogames. Either way, im glad to be posting and im glad to share my excitement of 2nd place in the Caption Battle! ^_^

You guys keep me going :)

stay strong,

Yamcha
