Hello everyone, its good to be back with another post :) It's been a pretty eventful week or so since i last posted. Over the course of the week ive managed to find another good friend on Theotaku named Xoaos. We had a great chat a few days ago about alot of anime and videogame related stuff and it was a really good feeling, to just sit and chat with someone who was just as much a Street Fighter, Dragonball, and Lodoss war fan as i was lol. During our conversation he brought up the anime film "Legend of Crystania" and its relation to the Lodoss War story, which i am sad to say that i never noticed during the first time i watched the movie, and it inspired me to pull out my copy and watch it, so that i would really be able to appreciate it with mor understanding. To tell the truth, i enjoyed it alot more this time around and i actually found myself growing on a couple of characters, especially Ashram lol. Our converstaion also urged me to re-install my dvd drive back onto my computer, enabling me to save screenshots from my anime dvds for use in my posts and hopefully some wallpapers ill be trying to work on in the near future. Xaos certainly pulled me out of my dry spell that i was in. For a while i hadnt really been fully enjoying my anime stuff, and im glad to say that during our chat i regained the feeling that i use to get when i was really enjoying anime and i look forward to more of our chats in the future thats for sure :)
As for what ive been up to lately, I havent been up to much. Up at work while im on lunch, Ive been playing Halo 2 with a guy i work with. Weve been going through campaign mode cooperatively and its been pretty fun, even though ive beaten it a few times before lol. I also watched the anime move "Legend of Crystania" which I really enjoyed. I remember the first time i watched it a year or so ago, i was cleaning and i wasnt really paying attention, so actually taking the time to sit down and watch it was definitely worthwhile :)
Right now im kinda at a standstill with what i should watch next. So i think im going to put a list of some of the anime from my collection and let you guys choose what i should watch next :) I think it should be fun, plus it would give me something to interact with you guys about while im watching it and when im finished with it :) so here is a list of some of the anime i havent watched yet :
GANTZ: season 1 box set
Gatchaman: season 1 box set
Ninja Scroll the series - Ultimate collection box set

LAIN : volume 1
Rurouni Kenshin : season 1 box set

Hello everyone,
It's good to be back in the posting mood today, and its always good to be back among other anime fans as a whole :)
What inspired this post today is a little bit more than anime. This morning i had the pleasure of reading the post of a good friend of mine and a fellow anime maniac at theotaku and Myotaku for the past few years, and now at Version Vibrant, and his post seemed to touch me in such a profound way that i guess it turned a light on inside a part of me that had been dark for a while. And at that moment i realized how much i had missed our conversation and interaction, not only with anime, but in life in general. We had and have so much in common when it came to our fears, our likes, dislikes, our long hair lol, and of course our constant battle in the struggle of being single and finding a way to interact with women we potentially felt interested in.
Life is a battlefield thats for sure and in essence - we were like Ken and Ryu from Street Fighter. Two blood brothers with the same will to succeed, and the same will to overcome whatever stood in our way, while managing to find a way to still be ourselves in the ever changing world. While i read this morning, i was reminded of how we confided in each other for support and advice and how i was able to learn alot from someone who had been going through alot of the same things i had at points in my life, and i really took the time this morning to sit here and appreciate what we have endured and overcome as a team, as friends and in a way - as brothers.
After i read his post i commented as usual, and then i pulled out my box set of the anime series "Street Fighter II V" and started watching away. Those of you who havent had the chance to watch this series or own it are really missing out. Even if you arent a fan of the games or anime as a whole, you can still find this series very enjoyable from its great fighting, comedy, characters, and one of my favorites - the music. To be totally honest I dont recall this series having one bad episode and im pretty picky when it comes to stuff like that lol. The Ken and Vega battle is arguably my favorite anime battle to date - Its bloody, passionate and skillfully crafted and to top it all off, the music was perfect. Its not one to be missed thats for sure, so if you havent had the privelidge of seeing this series , i highly reccomend it, hell its worth it just to see some of the fights, especially the Ken & Vega battle :)
All in all i considered today a day of celebration i guess. A day that i could sit down and remember the good times and pave the way for hopefully some future good times, and i wanted to thank a friend for his friendship over the years. I wouldnt trade it for the world, or all the anime in the world for that matter :)
For Enin
-thanks again and stay strong brother :)
here is a pic of my constanly growing anime collection that i recently re-organized
Hello,
It looks like ive managed to find a way to make 2 posts in a row lol. It must be the end of the world LOL! I woke up at exactly midnight last night and ive been up since then (its 8:00 am now) and during that course of time I managed to watch 2 more episodes of Record of Lodoss War: chronicles of the Heroic Knight, as well as the first episode of Samurai 7. I also found time to complete a full year in season mode on the Xbox game "WWE Raw 2" and i played a couple games on my Gamecube - the Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and WWE Day of Reckoning. It was fun to switch around and mess with a few different games for a little while, ill have to admit that i was totally lost while playing Majora's Mask so i dont think ill get back into it once ive read up about it a little more lol. As for Samurai 7, I had the pleasure of watching the live action movie from which the anime series is based from and im glad to say that i noticed alot of similarities. The original film was made in the 50's and to be honest, it is alot better than most recent japanese films that i have seen - even though it was in black and white with subtitles, its about 3 hours long as well and anyone who loves samurai movies has to see it, its one of the best, if not the absolute best :) As for the anime series, the original tale from the movie has been modernized for todays audience, with robots and technology, yet alot of the names and scenarios stay the same which i though was pretty cool. It has alot of CG which i am personally picky about, probably because im an old timer when it comes to anime LOL. I try to look past my pickiness when it comes to that kind of stuff though and ill have to watch a couple more episodes to see what my eventual take on the series in a whole is, so ill try to keep you all updated as i go :)
On another note, when i posted the other day, I had noticed that i had forgotten to post about my experience of watching the first 3 volumes of the anime "Trinity Blood". I must say that i really enjoyed the music , as well as some of the characters and i couldnt help but notice that the main male character (Father Nightroad) (sp)? reminded me alot of Vash the Stampede from Trigun, and the episode that centered around him and sister Noelle has so far been my favorite. If you ask me, the series kinda makes me feel like it is a blend of Trigun and Hellsing, which isnt bad at all. i bought the first 3 volumes without knowing anything about the series and id say that after watching them im overall pleased and im looking forward to seeing how the series plays out. It's one of the few newer anime series that ive kinda grown on and id happily reccomend it to anyone thats for sure :)
As for today, im mostly just cleaning around the house and doing laundry since i have to go to work tonight. I may play a ps1 game i have called "Dragon Valor" and ill probably try to make time to watch some more anime dvds i havent been able to get to yet. i have a list of anime dvds and videogames that ill probably post on here in the next few days to get everyones opinion of what i should watch or play next lol, so im certainly hoping for some feedback, and also - if you get a chance feel free to check out my fan art and let me know what you think. I was checking it out earlier and it had been a good while since id had looked at my own work and it would be cool to hear what others though about it :) Well, i think that will just about do it for today, I thank you all for visiting and im looking forward to posting more about my day to day adventures soon
stay strong,
Jason
Hello everyone,
Its good to drop by and post today :) I just finished watching disc 2 of Miami Vice: Season 4 and i felt the urge to post and let you all know what ive been up to the past few weeks lol. Ive recently been stepping it up on my anime viewing as of late - Im currently on disc 2 of the Blue Seed box set and im also on the final disc (disc 4) of my Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight box set. Chrinicles of the Heroic Knight picks up 5 years after the original Lodoss series - sadly to say, i only have the first 3 tapes of the original series but i have really grown to enjoy them both thats for sure. In actuality, i really dont like finishing series because i guess i dont like for the story to end. Thats probably why i watch a couple episodes then wait a few months and watch some more etc. Thats not a good thing when you have as many Anime box sets as i do lol. Ive got about 5 more episodes left on the Heroic knight series and ill be done, Ill probably try to stretch it out for a couple more weeks if i can lol. Here is a pic of the box set in case anyone wants to look for it.
As you can see i paid the hefty price of $9.99 for each disc (4) but i really felt it was worth it now lol. I also managed to anger a few other gamestop shoppers when i bought it because when i went back to gamestop a few weeks later they said alot of people were mad because someone had bought it before they could, so i suppose all the commotion was a sign of how good this series really is and i reccomend it to anyone who likes fantasy movies, rpg games, lord of the rings type stuff, you wont be let down :) Ill probably try to download the opening and ending themes to the series sometime today simply because i keep finding myself whistling them to myself at work, pretty good music id say lol. In other news, i was able to catch and record the anime movie "Karas: The Prophecy" on the STARZ channel i get called Movieplex, I found myself enjoying that movie as well. It was pretty violent and had alot of CG and i was worried i wouldnt care for it because i dont care much for the new CG stuff in anime today, but im happy to say that it was done really well and everything blended in a way that i found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Its no Vampire Hunter D, but id say it held its own as a pretty cool movie even if you dont like anime :)
As for today, Im not sure what else ill be doing. Ive been trying to manage a way to play multiple videogames on different systems and to watch multiple anime series/movies at the same time as well lol. its a tough thing to do, but i really enjoy it and i also enjoy sharing everything i know about anime and videogames and to try and get the word out to other fans so they can get the chance to experience new anime and games, etc. I can talk about anime all the time if someone could stand listening to it for that long LOL. Well, i thank you all for visiting again and i look forward to posting again as soon as i can find something cool to post about :) if you have any questions about any anime or videogames or any suggestions about anime you think i may like, feel free to let me know, i enjoy all the interaction i can get :) thanks again!!
stay strong,

Hello everyone,
I have to apologize for being absent so long. Those of you that know me, know how i can be sometimes. Dissappearing only to return at strange times with news of what ive been up to and i suppose this post is no different lol. I havent been up to much, Ive mostly been working and during my lunch hour i play the PS2 game "Smackdown vs RAW 2008" with a guy i work with. Its a wrestling videogame for those that dont know and since myself and the guy i work with are pretty big wrestling fans, it tends to make work a little bit more bearable lol. Our battles are quite epic, ill have to get a pic of the action sometime thats for sure :) Ive also been catching up on wrestling on tv as well. I hadnt really been keeping up with it as of late and it has been fun getting back into the groove of something to keep me occupied so im not bored all the time. The past couple months ive been finding myself buying old Xbox games at gamestop. Since the system and the games are obsolete, the prices have dropped drastically and ive been picking up some great games for 4$ and 5$ I beat Star Wars: Knights of the old republic 2 a couple weekends ago, now im starting on Shenmue 2 and Red ninja: end of honor and im looking forward to picking up more games this week when i get paid :) This past weekend i found myself utterly bored out of my mind, so i started looking at all the anime dvds i own, that i hadnt watched yet (which is alot) and i found myself settling on a box set of a series called "Blue Seed" that i bought about 4 years ago lol. I laid down and watched the first disc and i came to the conclusion that it is pretty much a mixture of Evangelion and Blue Gender, but it came out before Evangelion so i cant really call it a knock off lol. Ive been enjoying it though, It has the older animation style similar to New dominion Tank Police, which happens to be the best type of animation i like. This weekend i also re-arranged my anime/dvd collection. I really like the new setup ive got and i should have a pic up by the end of the week, if i can fit it all in a pic lol. Well, i think im going to wrap this up and go watch some Blue Seed and play some Lunar 2, I thank you all for visiting and i look forward to posting again as soon as i can :)
stay strong,
Jason
