A little training, a little hiatus

Yammy waited in the spacious training hall that laid underneath the Las Noches fortress. "She's late," he mumbled to himself as he sat with his eyes closed.

Soon thereafter, footsteps could be heard from a distance when Jenny finally arrived and bowed before her master.

"I'm here! I'm here..." she managed to let out with some shortness of breath. "I'm sorry I'm later, Yammy-sama!"

Taking a deep breath, the giant opened his eyes, ignoring her apology. "So I hear Ulquiorra has trained you in some areas. Is that correct?"

"Yes! He has helped me with my bala and cero techniques...though I could use more training..."

"Of course you could!" he snarled under his breath. Yammy stood up and stretched his arms. "I want to see what you've got, what you've learned from him."

"Ok," she said softly.

Not tolerating weakness or cowardice, Yammy grabbed Jenny. "Don't be weak, damn it!!" he shouted abruptly. He threw her down onto the ground. "Now show me..."

"Y-yes, Sir!" Jenny got up and closed her eyes to calm herself down. Focus, Jenny, focus! Don't be weak! When she opened her eyes, Yammy noticed a twinkle of resolve and gave a slight grin. "I'm ready!"

Jenny unleashed multiple Bala blasts at Yammy. Not flinching, he blocked the ones that actually came his way with one hand. "Not acceptable," he thought to himself. Yammy took a stance and prepared a Bala himself. "Instead of trying to get all flashy, start with the basics, kid. One shot, one kill!!"

The Espada's Bala blazed Jenny's way. Her eyes widened as the energy blast rushed toward her. She managed to dodge it, but barely with it grazing her side. "Nooo...gah!" Jenny was knocked down and shaken, but she managed to get herself back up. One shot, one kill...ok.She looked at her master with more determination.

Yammy grinned, her look amusing him. "Ch... You getting it now, kid?" He laughed. "Now, let me see your Cero, Jenny."

Jenny nodded in obedience. She closed her eyes to focus her mind, raising her fist to gather her spiritual energy. At the same time, she opened her eyes and her fist, releasing her Cero at Yammy. "Cero!!" The Espada stood there steadfast as the Cero shot past him, missing him entirely. "Hmm..." he thought.

His face wrinkled with disappointment. "What the hell was that? You didn't even hit me! Pathetic..." Jenny bit her lip, fighting back the emotion that suddenly flooded her mind. Damn it! I suck!

The Espada grunted and shook his head. Crossing his arms, he looked around the wide, open hall as he thought of what to do next. He spotted one of the columns at the far end of the training hall. Walking down to that column, he pulled out his zanpakuto and slashed an X on it. He turned to his fraccion and motioned her to come to him.

At his side, Jenny gazed up at the X on the column. "Jenny," he began to say, "I'm going to be leaving Las Noches for a while. Only Aizen knows my true purposes for my upcoming absence, no one else. While I'm gone, you train your ass off. I want you to be able to hit that damn mark standing from the entrance of the hall."

The Decima turned around and began walking toward the entrance of the hall to leave. "Oh, one more thing," he said over his shoulder. "You won't know when I come back, but by the time I do, you had better have gotten 10x stronger, at least! My fraccion won't be weak."

Jenny stood there, staring at the X that engrossed her thoughts. "Yes, Sir," she uttered quietly. The emotions the flooded her earlier now overwhelmed her."I WILL get stronger!" She screamed and punched the wall. "I will... Goodbye, Yammy-sama!" she said as she turned around, but he had vanished by that time.
