~Nysa~
I glanced up at the academy with a worried look on my face. I had entered late, and didn’t know a single person here. I had never met anyone outside of the nymph community, so I was almost scared to step into the building. Taking a deep breath, I took my first shaky steps toward it, glancing around quickly to make sure no one was staring at me.
It all seemed good, I could see groups of people talking amongst themselves, smiling. No one noticed the scared little nymph who seemed almost ready to run away. “Now or never,” I spoke softly to myself, walking right up to the front entrance.
“Would all students please report to the auditorium,” a voice over the loud speaker spoke, and I flinched.
I placed a light hand over my heart, taking another deep breath. What was wrong with me? I was never this nervous at home. It must just be because I was in an unfamiliar place. “The auditorium?” I wondered aloud, before glancing around, my attention stopping on the side building I guessed to be the auditorium.
I quickly made my way in that direction, not wanting to chance being late and draw a lot of attention to myself, my feet barely hitting the ground. But as I got to the building I was pushed back by the sheer amount of students trying to get inside. “Oof,” I gasped out, being pushed back into someone else.
“You ok?” a male voice spoke up, and I looked up at the person I had bumped into. He was taller than I was, his hair messy and white, with black tips. But what caught my attention was his eyes. They were a pretty shade of lavender.
I nodded my head lightly. “I am. And I’m very sorry I bumped into you,” I half bowed to him, smiling. “My name’s Nysa,” I told him, thinking it was polite to introduce myself. “Nysa Koryu. And you are?”
“Natsume Shirayuki,” he replied with a bored expression. And I wondered if I had done something wrong.
Regardless, my smile widened. I had finally talked plucked up my courage to talk to someone. “It’s nice to meet you,” I chirped, happy enough that I didn’t even realise I had risen off the ground a few centimetres.
