I heard the Headmaster start talking, but when Jack turned his head to watch, I turned it back towards him. "What is it?" He asked looking at me.
"You know, no one has ever stood up for me before, or called me pretty." I said.
"Oh um..." He scratched his cheek lightly and looked up at the ceiling "You're welcome...I think..." He said
"Thank you." I said. "I haven't acted this nice actually in a while."
"A-any time." He smiled.
“You’re sweet, but you totally can beat a kid down too.” I laughed a little.
"Well...I guess." He muttered.
“There’s nothing wrong with that!” I reached over and slipped my hand under his. “You just gotta accept the fact you’re tough too!” He quickly took it away and looked down at the floor and even in the dark i could tell that he was blushing.
“I-I’m sorry.” I said quietly.
"N-no i-it's a-alright." He muttered.
“No, you moved so fast I could have been an electric fence.”
"I-I was just caught off guard was all." He laughed quietly.
“How can you be so quiet and nervous, but be so threatening at the same time? I know I’m a bit contradicting, but you’re above and beyond me.” I said.
"I-I don't know, I-I guess it's in my n-nature." He responded.
“Well, I like it.” I slumped in my chair. The head master stopped talking and people clapped. “Is it over?”
"I-I guess." He said looking ahead at the stage.
“Alright! So come on!” I hopped up and pulled on his shirt to get him to stand.
"O-okay." He stuttered. I ran out of the room, leaving Jack to follow quickly.
“Come on slow poke!”
"I-I'm coming, it's kind of hard to run when I'm stumbling." He answered.
“But, why are you stumbling?” I questioned stopping and looking at him.
"You kind of are holding onto my tie, and I'm a bit taller then you." He laughed a little taking his tie back gently.
“O-Oh, right.” I smiled.
"It's alright." He answered just taking off his tie all together and sticking it in his pocket. "So um...where were you taking me?" I asked.
I laughed.
“I don’t know, I just wanted to explore with you.”
"Oh...ok, is it because you get lost?" He asked.
“N-No.” I started walking forward.
"Yes you do." He commented.
“So? What are you going to do about it?” I crossed my arms.
"Make sure you don't get lost." He shrugged looking down at me.
“Sounds good to me.” I smiled a little.
“Hey, can I come with you two?” I heard a voice behind Jack.
