So, here's my World Page designed especially for me. For those of you who aren't familiar with me, I'm an aspiring Manga-ka (at least in my own mind) and I enjoy many things in life, including, but not limited to: sword-fights, squirrels, lingual jokes, shiny rocks, and strawberries.
Also, I was born in Texas, but raised in Montana. No, I don't ride horses, or boil water over a campfire to heat it, and as a matter of fact, I hate Westerns! I don't have an accent (y'all) and I don't wear a ten-gallon cowboy hat with chaps. I'm a normal, everyday average citizen of America... who wishes he were somewhere else. XD I'm also agnostic, so don't come preaching to me about anything, okies? And, I won't throw you down a well, okies? Yay! Friends!!!
"You have to be realistic about terrorism. Certain groups of people, certain groups, Muslim fundamentalists, Christian fundamentalists, Jewish fundamentalists, and just plain guys from Montana, are going to continue to make life in this country very interesting for a long, long time."
~George Carlin
Or, check out our DeviantArt page [Shiro-Jinja] that Angelo (Fai no Tenshi) and I share!
Well, hope you enjoy your visit and sayonara for now! ^_^
IN other news:
I went up to Polson today and sold some knives to my gramma! :D And my Uncle is going to buy some too, here soon. ^_^ I can't wait! I'm almost to $1000~! I'm, like... $50 short. But, that's alright.
How's everybody's weekend going? I'm tired from the driving I did today. But, I got some quality time with my mom. It's been nice. :3
Sad to hear about Billy Mays though... I just found out from a friends' DA blog... and I just saw one of his commercials... ;>_> Death runs rampant these days, huh? *sigh*
Thanks so much, guys for your awesome and inspiring words. But, it's all really turned around~! :D I'm excited to say that I had two appointments today and sold on both! My second client said she wasn't going to get anything and she ended up buying $130 worth of merchandise! ^__^ I'm excited.
Tomorrow, I'm going to Polson to see my grandparents. I'll demonstrate to them too and my mother is going to see it for the first time. She already supports me after today, but I just KNOW she'll support me even better tomorrow. My dad's still a skeptic, but having one on my side is better than none and I feel confident about it.
I'm feeling better now, so thanks guys! I'm lucky to know you all, and I'm so greatful.
Oh, by the way, if you're anywhere near Montana... anyone wanting to buy CutCo Cutlery from me? :D That's what I sell and it's AWESOME! Of course, it's better if you could see the demos... I cut through pennies and slice ropes like butter... and leather too.... with regular table-knives. :3
No jokes, either, I do all that. It's part of my spiel~! :D
Anyhoo, it's EPICALLY better than McDonald's. X3
Well, I'd better go. My mom and I are going to watch Bride Wars and Friday the 13th (that's an odd combination, no? X3)
Thanks for reading and taking care of me again. I know I can count on all of you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I need a shoulder to cry on... and all my shoulders are too busy!!!
Well, guys, my parents don't seem to be very supportive of my new job. It's disappointing. I tell them I'll be bringing home $500 paychecks a week in a couple weeks and they just don't believe me, even though it's a given! It's guaranteed! *heavy sigh*
For me, it's not about the money.
It's about proving to my parents that I'm independant and I'm not a failure. My father especially... >:U
He claims that being an artist isn't a "real job". Apparently, a "real job" to him involves paper, pencil, a computer, and a desk... hmm... sounds like the tools an artist like myself would use!!! Ironic, ne? He's a young soul, he doesn't understand most things I do.
Last night, I was supposed to be making appointments for my first few days of my job. Instead, my parents wanted to drag me along for dinner. I said I was busy and doing things for work and they played the Guilt Trip card... =_= So, I now I have to explain to my advisor what my issues are. *sigh* I hate that.
Then, I decided to make appointments with my grandparents. This means I'd have to take a day-trip to their town, which is about an hour and a half's drive away. And, they don't want me going alone, however, neither of THEM want to go!!! AUGH~! DX How am I supposed to make any money?!
So, I said 'Screw it' and I'm going tomorrow whether they are, or not. I have a responsibility to hold to!
Well, I've got to go. I hope you guys are having a better time than me. Thanks for reading.
