Hey, Otaku! ^_^ Yosei here to update, once again.
So, yesterday, I woke up to find a note from my dad with a list of chores. It read:
Girls,
please do the following chores:
-sweep kitchen
-vacuum living room
-sweep bathrooms
-clean bathrooms
-do laundry
-water the yard all day
Okay, okay, simple enough.
Okay, red flag #1:
WHY DOES IT SAY 'GIRLS'?!
WHAT THE HELL?! Doesn't my dad realize that Yosei's a GUY?! *cries* I let that one go, mistakes happen, it was water sliding off a duck's back. I got over it.
So, as I was up at about 8:30am, I started on the chores. I did everything except clean the bathrooms (we've got 1 and a half baths). I thought I'd leave that ONE chore for my sister to do as it's HER hair and HER make-up that always ends up all over the sink.
So, she wakes up (around 11:30am, mind you) and I ask her to take care of the bathrooms. She says okay and gets to work. After, maybe half a minute, she comes back out and I ask rather sarcastically, "Did you clean it?"
"Yeah, but it was already clean enough!"
I didn't believe one word. I knew for a fact how disgusting my family's main bathroom can get. It usually takes AT LEAST half an hour to do everything. It gets dusty in there really easy and there's always my sister's hair on the sink and the back of the toilet. Plus, the tub needed a good scrubbing, from what I'd seen... and the shower curtains needed to be sprayed and wiped down.
Anyway, I peek in there and she didn't even try! She basically wiped down the sink with a wet paper towel (which, only really spread her make-up all over) and called it good.
No, not good. BAD! Yosei is an anal cleaner!!! >.<
I'd never been so pissed.
I mean, I do most, if not all, of the chores that's left for us (Most of which aren't even written down by the parents. I like a clean house.) and she doesn't do a damn thing! And, she gets away with it!!!
She's 14 now. I was doing dishes, doing chores, and cleaning the yard when I was even younger- age 8 or something like that!
AND! She gets away with it!
If she wants to earn a little money for doing some chores, she just cleans her room and gets $20~! Now, I don't find that fair. I don't get paid, but I have a job too, so I don't mind. I don't like to mooch off my parents anyway.
She still gets away with it, though!
At least, with my dad. My mom agrees with me that she doesn't pull her weight. And, she argues and gets into trouble with other kids. She's not a delinquent, she doesn't do drugs as far as I know, but she does go against our family rules. I mean, the ones set in place until we're deemed mature enough to be trusted. I gained my parents trust at 12. I could stay out until after dark when I was 14. And, I'm 20 now (sadly, yes still living with the parents and attending college), and have complete freedom! I can whatever the hell I want, as long as I call and they know what my plans are. I don't have to ask for permission to go see a late-night movie with friends or anything.
EITHER WAY! I was more of an adult when I was younger than my sister is now. She keeps saying she wants independence from the parents, but she displays a decent lack of responsibility.
Well, that's my rant for the day. I feel better. *siiiiiiigh*
OH~! Then, my mom came home last night, pissed to high heaven! I mean, she was MOMMA BEAR ANGRY! Scared me crapless! I don't know what the problem was, but my dad said something that just sent her over the edge and she got in the car and left. That's right, she just left us... in the middle of cooking dinner (which I had to finish. Don't forget, my sister and father are both dependent on my mother and myself to get the worst of things done). She left around 6pm and didn't come home until about 9pm last night.
And, she was still pissed this morning. Later, I went with her to town and she told me that it was because of something my dad said. Again... it was my father's fault. It always is when she leaves. One day, I'm afraid he's going to do something and she's going to leave and not come home. Then, I'll truly hate him... >[
Oh, well. I washed my car today! It's shiny!!! :D And, I was leaving the mall today with Angelo and an old, retired looking guy pulled out ahead of us, as if he had the right away (which he didn't. It was, in fact, an illegal move) but, as he drove by, he looked me squarely in the eyes (I was driving) and just watched me. Then, he did a flick with his head as if to say, "That's right! I'M first, you little kid!" and snubbed me. OOOOOOH! THAT set me off! First off, I don't like being looked down upon by people who obviously have a younger soul than myself (c'mon, if you were there and you knew what I was talking about, you'd agree), AND it was an illegal turn on his part! So, I got up real close behind him at a stop sign, then Angelo said we should stalk him. So, I followed him down a couple rows in the parking lot with my brights on (it was a really sunny day today too! XD) and stayed RIGHT behind him. Then, because I didn't want to cause a problem, I left. Hope he didn't get my plate number! (o[]0;)
Oh, well... que sera sera.
*sigh*
Okay, NOW I feel better. XD
I'm-a go read now... First King of Shannara by Terry Brooks! YUS! And, spit some sunflower seeds on my back deck... maybe drink a soda or some tea... mmmm, tea.
OKIES! Thanks for reading! Sorry the post was so long! ^_^;
Bai-bee for nows!
