The Good news and the Bad news

So, here's the good news first!

I GOT A CAR!!! Yippee, Skippy!
It's a used one- an '00 Honda Accord, Forest Green in color... Yeah... I was thinking of putting my name on the liscence plate, but decided against it. I just dried up my savings buying it, but it's all worth it. I'll work it all off and build up my savings again right away. I'm excited because it means Angelo and I won't have to walk to work in the dead of winter~! ^o^

And, that brings us to the bad news.
Saturday night, I worked EXTRA late. Angelo and I had a friend with us at our workplace 'til about 8:30 at night because no one was able to come get us and no one would allow us to walk home in the cold dark without any jackets. 9_9
Anyway, that same night at about 2am, someone tried to torch the place. There's some fire damage and the glass in the front door is shattered. It's being treated as Arson.

Makes me sad that someone would try to do that... and, seeing as the only other place to have the SAME thing happen on the SAME night says something. Both of these restaurants are owned by people of Mexican descent. My boss's grandfather, I think, was who came here first. Can't remember. Pissed me off tho'. No one's said anything, but I still think this was done by some racist bastard.
Either way, it kinda scares me. We were there for a whole extra hour and a half and it could've happened then too! ^_^" Lately, I've been narrowly escaping tight and sticky situations. I hope my good luck holds out!

These kinds of things happen often here in this tiny town. There have been countless attempts to burn the local school down by kids almost every summer since forever. One year, faculty came back to school and found that someone had rolled a large tire down the hill above the school and it had busted through a wall and into a classroom. Damn delinquints. I mean, I hate school for certain reasons as well, but I'd never try to damage the place or burn it down. And, I love my job, so I don't understand why someone would try to burn down a place where other people do their best to help the community.

This is obviously the work of "young souls"- those people that never matured past age 14 or 15 and believe the world is against them. People who do outrageous things to get attention.

Well, there's my rant.
On a bright side note, once my parents trust me to drive the car alone (I'm not insured 'til Tuesday and they want me to get more practice in before I'm trusted alone with it ^^") I can take Angelo to visit Tiffany at lunch-time on Mondays! And I can go see my gf, Niko, more often as well! YAY! *dances*

Okies, it's time I go.
Talk to you all later! I hope your weekend went well and this week is great for you too! Bai-beeeeee~!
