Epic Concert is not Epic... A Disappointing post

So, I went to Tom's final concert last night. Yeah! [sarcasm] It was SPECTACULAR! [/sarcasm]

No, my day sucked again yesterday... =_=

First of all, my family (mother, father, sister, and grandparents) had said they'd like to come to the concert too. Which, I was ecstatic about! :D But, then, my dad got a head-cold and said he shouldn't go, which was alright. THEN, my sister didn't want to go- she said it'd be a waste of her time. *rolls eyes* Then, my mother bailed because, my grandparents said they didn't want to stay late and they all left to eat somewhere else. So, I drove alone to the school and got there at, like, 5:00. The dinner wasn't supposed to start until 6:00 and the concert was supposed to start at 7:30.
I sat around for half an hour, all alone and bored out of my mind. I actually began to revert back to my old ways of sitting in the cafetorium (We call it that because the cafeteria doubled as the auditorium AND study hall) and looking for shapes in the ceiling.

Around 5:45, Tom and Niko showed up with his mother and ARMFULS of Asian food that they'd made for the potluck. (If you haven't had Tom's mother's cooking, then you've never lived, lemme tell ya. I'd marry the food if I could... XD) Then, a short while later, Tiffany and Angelo showed up.

Now, The Music Teacher/Director/Conductor was the person who was going to give a speech and hand out awards and such.

I was told beforehand that Mr. R liked to take a long time on this and that I should be ready for a long night. But, I expected it to last only a short while.

Bang head here ----------> X <---------- Bang head here

IT TOOK FOR-FREAKIN'-EVER!!

The speech and such started at about 7 and went 'til about 9! 9 PM!!! Then, the music -the last concert that most of these seniors would ever play in- only lasted about 45 minutes.

=_= yeah.

And, what's worse is, the seniors didn't even get to sit with their friends and family at dinner. They were seated at the front of the room while the rest of us sat in the back. Tom didn't like that. He would've rather sat with us, of course! DX So, we had about four hours altogether with him and I think I was withing ten feet of him for... maybe 20 minutes total throughout the whole evening? AAAGH!

Oh, well. The music was good and there was a powerpoint of all the seniors' baby pic and senior pics. It was neat. Tom's mom seemed close to tears. The rest of us were all happy and excited for him- Tiff too, now that I mention it. She graduates as well, she's Tom's sister and Angelo's gf/mate/bride-to-be.
XD
But, yeah. Then, when it was done, we all just kind of stood up and milled about before leaving.
In all, it was alright. There were some things I wish could've gone better or differently, but oh well.
Also, I think Angelo and I both work on their graduation day. I forgot to ask for it off two weeks in advance and now I only have about a week and a half to ask... I hope they can find someone to take my hours. If not, I think I might quit McDonald's. I hate it there. There are too many people that piss me off and annoy me to hell and back. Angelo doesn't seem happy at all there either, so... yeah, I think I'll quit and spend my time looking for another job. I mean, I wanted to keep it 'til mid-July, but... it's really not worth it. It just isn't. I don't have time for friends and family anymore and I'm sick of it.

I know, I know. You're gonna say, "No time for friends and family? Well, duh! That's why they call it WORK!" But... I don't care! Okay? Friends and family FIRST! GYAWD!

Alright, alright. Enough of my rambling. I'm hungry and I'm thinking about going to eat. Hope your guys' day is going well. Thanks for reading! :D
