Before I say anything more, all credit goes to Refi-chan (Tiggerola) for the discovery. Unfortunately, since the FUNimation website does not want to load for me right now, I am going directly off what Refi-chan said and what I saw a week-or-so ago. I correct anything that needs to be once FUNimation starts to work with me.
In honor of the release of the Yu Yu Hakusho Season One Box Set, FUNimation has added five video clips to their online collection. These clips contains trailers as well as scenes from Season One.
The Season One clips are mostly for humor (or at least the one I watched which was about the cross dresser) and are uncut. I also believe they cut out the short switching scenes (from our heroes to the bad guys watching in another room) from these clips, so not interruptions in the battles.

Sorry for the lack of updates again. Since July 4th, I have been out of town without internet for a week. Then I got distracted by recently acquired video games Rock Band and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin as well as the Yu Yu Hakusho Season One Box Set I just got. Anyways, the following news and discussions:

Chapters Eight through Ten of Katana is posted
From now on, due to the complexity and numerous room for error in the Quick Links at the end of chapters, the link “More Chapters” will now appear and direct you to the Series’ Quick Link page.
Our first contest will be announced July 21st (There’s hidden meaning behind the date and I’m not telling =P)

Over my internet-less week was totally unproductive. I was staying with a friend of mine who is also a huge YYH fan herself (though her busy life does not allow her to join theO, unfortunately) and used to work with me to create Fan fiction. However, we stopped working as a team on fiction due to differences (she likes more mystical, magical fantasy and I prefer more down-to-earth realism) though we do help each other out. If she pulls through, we will have a custom background! If not, I’ll try to squeeze in time to make one myself. She will also be one.
By the way, in Katana: Chapter Ten I mentioned my List of Profanity. This list I have researched specifically for the Brigade and contains 68 words American and British profanity and their definition (and don’t try to fool me either, I know so profanity in other languages, too). This helps me sensor fiction and watch for a Brigade rule violation. You all should probably know the rule by now: No offensive language. How this will be dealt with go as follows
First level offense: Warning
Second level offense: Suspension no less than two days and will be lengthened depending on severity (I might not be able to stop your account but I can stop you from coming to the Brigade)
Third level offense: Repot to the moderators
All levels of offense are based on the severity. For example: cussing someone out on the Brigade will be at least a second level offense, while a slip off the tounge key will be a first level offense. However if lower level offenses are repeated, you may be subjected to higher level offenses. I had not problems with language yet, since all of you are good people. However, if this someday happens, which I hope it will not, the rules do exist. Keep up the good work, guys. ^_^
Speaking of getting the Season One Box Set, expect to see a review this week.
Discussions
Let us first talk about the email address. The email address [email protected] is now Method 1 for contacting me concerning the Brigade. Method 2 will be theOtaku’s PM system. If you want to send me a short message like “Thanks for updating” or something, or if you do not have email access, you can go ahead and use method two. But concerning things like Fan Fiction or Fan art that you would like me to post, I suggest using method one. This also leads to discussion topic number one: How many of you would like “yyhbrigade” domain names for email? I may have found a way to do this, but are any of you interested?
Discussion topic number two: Fan art! Members can now send me links to fan art they have created to the email address. If you can, give the name and the date. Each member can send up to THREE fan art a week, regardless of date made but the deadline is Friday each week. If I have more than five, I’ll put in as many needed parts over the week. I’ll make a post about this specifically later.
Mini contests: I have been thinking of having weekly contests that does not necessarily require any artistic or whatnot skills. One that I had in mind would be to find a song and match it to a YYH character and the three best match gets it posted on the Brigade (similar to the Caption Battles). The second was mentioned by Refi-chan which would be if you were a psychic (apparition, spiritually aware human, etc.) what would your strengths, weaknesses, etc. be? This is to promote creativity and the most creative will be featured on the Brigade. So the discussion question: Would you participate in a mini contest? If you have any ideas for a mini contest, let us know!
Last discussion: I find it sad how the YYH portal on theO has practically screeched to a halt. I an encouraging everyone to post fan art, create e-cards, and produce wallpaper to make the portal thrive again! I remember about a year or two ago when an e-cards came out every day, fanart every couple of days, and wallpapers now and then. Do you guys want to see that again? Then let us make some! Don’t have that eye for wallpaper? Make some e-cards! Not good with witty lines? Make some fan art! Anything helps.
This is the longest update I have made so far, and I’m still not finished, but done for this post. Feel free to ask any questions and give your opinion. ^_^
