Aya Kanno: Blank Slate and Otomen
Blank Slate is like a one of a kind manga where the main character is actually bad. hard core evil. XD hehe. and I just love that. I am sorta weird like that. The main character, Zen, is super hot looking (XP) and mysterious. He is a ruthless criminal who isn’t bound by laws or the police.
from the manga itself:
"What does it take to find your true inner self? Zen's memory has been wiped, and he can't remember whether he's a killer or hero. And a lot of people will do anything they can to keep it that way."
Well, there are only two volumes and I totally got super into it. I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not at first, but once I started reading it, I loved it. XD Here's a part that I totally loved, at the end of the volume 2:
"A purely evil soul cannot be controlled by anyone. All living things are evil in some way. Down the long path of destruction of death... what awaits at the end is light... and at the same time, darkness."
P.S. I absolutely loved how Zen just do whatever he wants and how he's not bound by anything, except fate for those who believe in that. XD
This is definitely a 10 out of 10.
Otomen is another of Aya Kanno's work, and I didn't exactly realized till I read the author's bio on Blank Slate. Coz I usually like never pay attention to who the manga's author is. =P but anyways. here's a summary of the manga from the manga itself:
"Asuka Masamune, the kendo captain, is actually an otomen(a girlish guy) - a man who likes cute things, housework and shojo manga. When he was young, his father left home to become a woman. His mother was traumatized, and ever since then, he has kept his girlish interests a secret. However, things changed when he meets Juta, a guy who is using Asuka as the basis for the female character in the shojo manga he is writing (<- top secret). Asuka also starts having feelings for a tomboy girl who is good at martial arts. Because of this, he's slowly reverting to his true otomen self!"
this is a pretty good manga, not the best, but it's pretty interesting. XD When I marry, I sorta want a husband like Asuka, good-looking, strong, good at cooking and basically housework and such, and he has a lot of the qualities that would suit me coz... I am more like Ryo, I mean.. I can cook.. barely. XP I do love to bake, and I am sorta tomboyish. I find Ryo pretty similar to me. XD But I also love Juta (but I don't think I can accept him as my boyfriend, coz he's so flirtatious and sorta play-boy-ish.) and I sorta envy him for his ability to draw. XP
I just finished reading the English version of Volume 5, and the end was like the "What-happened-next? I-wanna-know." kinda ending. XD so I might try to find online translated scans of the manga just to fulfill my curiosity. hehe. good luck to me.
I would give this manga a... 8 or 9 out of 10 so far.
When I compare the art of Blank Slate and Otomen, they are pretty diversing, I would say I like Blank Slate's art more. It's more detailed and pretty and in-depth. =D And the story lines are pretty different.. one is about a super evil guy, the other is about a sensitive otomen who is like a dream-guy, basically. heh. but both of them are from a guy's point of view pretty much. :D which I love. these are two pretty good mangas, I am prob going to try to find more of Aya Kanno's work and read it. XD good luck to me on that.. but first I have something else to do...
I can't wait till the summer!!! then I can laze around and pretty much do nothing but watch animes & dramas, read books & mangas, and attempt to draw. :D I am also going to try to make some videos soon... good luck to me.. if it's any good, I will prob post it on here. :)
Prince of Tennis!!!
Prince of Tennis is one of my favorite anime ever now. I absoulutely love it... and don't really have anything to ...Ouran High School Host Club and Darker Than Black
Lately, I have been rewatching Ouran High School Host Club and Darker Than Black.
Ouran High School Host Club, of course one of the best animes ever. I love Kyouya and the twins, Hikaru and Kaoru. I think out of them all, i am most like those 2 too... so i guess that's also why i like them the most. :) I dont like Tamaki too much... too idiotic and a baka. :P lol. I sorta wish Haruhi would end up with Kyouya or Kaoru or Hikaru... but NO, she's ending up with Tamaki. I especially love the episode where they were at the Ootori private beach and the part where Kyouya and Haruhi were alone in the room and then Tamaki bursts in. hahahah. :D I also love the episode where the the host club were at Karuizawa and Haruhi is out on a date with Hikaru. :) Honey is pretty adorable. I would give this a 10 out of 10.
Darker Than Black, one of the best animes ever, of course. or else why would I even rewatch it. :) Hei is AWESOME. haha. I am mostly rewatching this because I need to get more screenshots of the anime to make my video. It's going to be mostly about Hei, of course. :) The least favorite character.... either Huang, or the Detective guy... i think his name is... Gai Kurasawa. oh and also Kiko Kayanuma, Gai's assistant. :P It's sorta sad that *spoiler* November 11 dies. -__- 
he's pretty cool. 10 out of 10 for this. :D
And Kimi ni todoke has finished its run and the ending was pretty good... and now i have almost nothing to watch... I need more animes that suit my taste.
well. i have started watching Kaichou wa Maid-sama and it's pretty good. I have read part of the manga. and i like it so far...
I need more animes like Pandora Heart and Kuroshitsuji and D. Gray Man and etc... -___-. realized how all those have main characters who had a pretty tragic past? :P well. i have recently realized that that's sorta the anime I am into. Even Hei has a tragic past. I also love Skip Beat. :) Kyoko has a pretty tragic past too and probably Ren as well. :)
I should finish watching Tegami Bachi. oh and did i tell you that I started watching Hana Yori Dango (the drama) aka The Wallflower? well i am watching it... but... haven't been watching for a while. maybe i will just watch the Taiwanese version of it... -__- :P
Kuroshitsuji and anything else
okay so recently, i just finished watching this anime called Black Butler aka Kuroshitsuji. It's about this 12-year-old boy named Ciel Phantomhive and his butler, Sebastian. Sebastian is really a demon that is binded to Ciel through a contract and in return for giving Sebastian his soul when his wish is completed, Sebastian helps Ciel in any way he can and protects Ciel from harm. :) I love Ciel and the ending is pretty sad. But i just love how Sebastian always say "Watashi wa aku made shitsuji desu kara" This phrase can mean "Because I am one hell of a butler" or "I am a demon and a butler", because akuma means demon, and aku made means to the end. so it's pretty interesting. This is one of my most favorite animes ever. it has made my top.
But anyways, I heard they are are making a 2nd season right now, but... THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE NOT Ciel and Sebastian anymore. which is totally sad.... I mean... psh. it's about this kid name Alois Trancy and the demon (Also a butler), Claude Faustus. This is going to start airing in Japan in July... and i might watch it just coz the Ciel and Sebastian one was so good. From what I have seen in the trailer, Alois has a bad past (Like ciel), but is like super weak and pathetic (according to me) unlike Ciel who was strong. Alois is like a blonde and i guess he sorta looks like Oz from Pandora Hearts. speaking of which....
Sebastian is sorta like Gibert Nightray from Pandora Hearts.. actually not really but there's some similarity between the two.
and the Undertaker is also sorta like Xerxes Break from Pandora Hearts.
but that's just what it seems like to me?
I would rate this... a 10 out of 10!
P.S. I totally love Ciel disguised as a girl and that dress he (she) was wearing!
