At the beginning God was lonely, and sent out invitations around the world. 12 animals accepted God's invitation and came to the banquet. Those twelve animals became the Chinese zodiac. God was delighted at all His new friends and vowed that their banquet would last forever and that their bond would keep them together.
Many generations passed and the Sohma family remained bound by their ancestors promise to God. 12 members of the family each possessed by a spirit of the zodiac change into their animal forms when hugged by a member if the opposite sex or when weakened. The head if their family is possessed by the spirit of God. Akito Sohma was the final God, when the curse was finally broken.
However....when I was born tge curse began again. I am the new God, and everyone hates me. Because of me the curse lives again and is as strong as it was in the beginning. The zodiac forms have returned to their original glory and our bond is stronger than ever. I refuse to let them get away. They are my zodiac! They only ones who ever loved me! I forbade them to ever leave my side. None of them have ever left the main house. I won't let the outside world touch them, because if it does...they will leave me all alone. "Please Kanayuki-San! See reason! You cannot keep those children here anymore! They need to go to school!" I glared at the older members of tge family and at the few parents who had not abandoned their children. They said I needed to let them go outside. That I need to let them choose. That they want their children to go to real school and have a future. They irritated me. No one cared about what I wanted! "THEY ARE MINE AND I SHALL DO WITH THEM AS I WISH!! IF I WANT THEM TO STAY HERE BY MY SIDE THEY WILL DO SO! IF I TELL THEM TO LIVE THEY WILL AND IF I TELL THEM TO DIE THEY WILL!" All their eyes widened in fear. Then Shino's mother spoke up. "My son is already 19. You can bend them to your will, and they may not be able to say anything or defy you, but inside they hate you. They hate you!" I slapped her across the face. "I am the head of this family!" I know deep down what she says is true. That's why I won't let them go. I can't..."Kanayuki-San!" I put my hand up. "Fine...I allow them to go outside. To school...to work...to do whatever. But! Only for a year." Only one year. This will either prove the strength of our bond...or it will destroy it. Either way I will be left alone.
