Umami is in the garden sitting in one of the many sakura trees; but there is only one tree that showed the beauty of the outside world. And that very tree is where Umammi is sitting to admire the world outside from her cage, the Sohma house. But this time sitting in the same tree, it felt so different. That world that she couldn't once touch and seemed so far away, was now so close in her grasp. Umami couldn't wait to go out there and live her dream.
Umami said to herself with a small smile on her face, "Even though I won't have a lot of time to make it big; it'll be nice to see what it's like."
She opened her small locket, which held a picture of both her parents. Bringing the small locket to her lips, she kissed it and said, "Don't worry Mother and Father I'm doing great. My health is still the same but I just know it will get better. But now I'm free to do what I want to do. I'm so happy that Kana-sama decided to let us out. I'm tired of being in this small cage." Umami took a small moment to compose herself so she wouldn't start a rant about being trapped. "Little Alice is doing great as well. I just wish she could leave here too. But she is too small. I'm just scared about leaving her here alone with... with..." she said.
Umami stayed there in the tree a little longer, until a small voice calling her name caught her attention. Glancing down to see a small little girl, Umami climbed down the tree to see her. Once on the ground she knelt down next to the small girl.
"What's wrong Alice?" she asked moving the small girl's hair behind her ears.
