I looked around as we headed up to the roof. "There's lots of people here..." Aaralyn laughed. "Well it is a school." I shrugged. "I've never been to school." She got quiet. "It's no big deal though...we had private tutors." She looked up at me. "We?" I nodded. "Naoki, Uma and myself. We're all 19." She nodded. We stepped out onto the roof and my eyes widened. I put my hand above my eyes to sheild the sun and looked up at the bright blue sky. "Beautiful..."

Aaralyn sat down and leaned against the fence that went around the edge of the roof. I was taken in my the surroundings. "I wish I had my camera..." She smiled. "I know. It's pretty huh? It seems to go on forever." I frowned. "Too bad my leash only goes to the edge of this town..." The little sweet roll didn't reach her lips. She set it back down. "I wish we could see it all." I smiled. "You and Kai can see it all." I reached over and took a mini octopus sausage. My mom...she thought everyone was a kid. "But I want you to see it too."

I look into her eyes. "Someday I might..." I leaned back against the fence and looked up. The clouds moving slowly across the sky looked like an artists brushstrokes across a painted blue canvas. "If the curse was broken I could go anywhere...with anyone." Her eyes widened. "It can be broken?" I shrugged. "It happened once...but it didn't last. Kanayuki's great grandmother was the last head who was ruler of the zodiac. Everyone thought the curse had ended til Kanayuki was born. Everyone scorned him...like it was his fault. So he felt alone. Til I was born. Then he didn't feel alone anymore. That's why he is afraid to let us go. He feels he'll be alone again." "BUT THAT'S NO REASON FOR HIM TO TREAT YOU ALL LIKE THIS!!!" I nodded. "No...but I do see it from hos point of view. I only wish...he could come out of his box and see how wonderful it us outside. Instead of hiding himself away in that house."

I smiled. "So how's school?" It was time to change the subject. I don't want to overwhelm her with all my families bulls*it.
