A New Reality

I stood in the airport, alone, waiting on a transcontinental flight. I had won a trip to some small country in east Asia. This website I had put a lot of trust in for a while, so when I heard that I won the contest, I was totally convinced I would have a great time. My parents were easily convinced, and I was driven to the airport for my all-expense paid trip.

People walking by stared at my black leather pants, midriff black tank top, and combat boots. They probably found strange my naturally pure black hair, and my blue-purple eyes. That was okay. I didn't care. My eyeliner was applied thickly, black eyeshadow making just above my eyes sparkle faintly. As they called my flight number, I fixed my black lipstick and took my place to board.

When I handed the flight attendant my ticket, her eyes widened. "Your the passenger headed to Ookami?" She asked. "Yeah," I replied dismissively. I walked down the walkway, and found my seat on the plane. Picking a window, I sat down, my hand holding my chin with my elbow on the arm rest as I watched out the window. After quite a few minutes and a discussion on all the safety proceedures, the plane finally set off down the runway, and into the air. Stuffing my iPod in my ears, I drowned out the engine roar with several of my favorite songs (such as The Kill by 30 Seconds to Mars and What's Up People by Maximum the Hormone).

I was in for a long, yet interesting ride...
