Prologue: A Legend
One stormy night, several kids gathered around a campfire, sheltered by nothing but a small canopy of fabric, ment for heat, not rain. They shivered, cold, wet, and scared. A few jumped at the thunder that struck loud and without rhythm. A lone counselor sat with them.
"I will tell you all the story of the little dream." she said. The kids huddled closer, jumping at every sound.
"There was once a little dream. It flew around aimlessly, for no one would dream it. People were afraid of that little dream. In fact, most did they're best to avoid dreaming. So the little dream grew fustrated and angry. It's first thought was, 'how do I get people to dream me?' It thought a second, then it had a new thought: 'If people aren't dreaming me, then I will make them dream me!" So it followed people, several at once, for it broke itself into several pieces. There was a girl with long hair," the counselors eyes passed through the the small huddle to find one particular girl, who's dark hair hung just below her waist, pulled up in a pony tail. "A girl with short hair," her eyes met a girl with brown hair, cut just below her chin, curling into her slender face. "A boy who was well liked amung his piers," she met the gaze of the boy between the previously mentioned girls, who until then had only been half listening, but mostly soothing the girls. A shiver went down his spine though at the way the lady eyed him. "And a pair of young siblings." Her eyes flicked over a boy and girl, younger than the rest. They were twins, with white blonde hair and blue eyes. Hugging eachother more tightly, they scooted closer to the fire. "All were young and unsuspecting, easy prey for the little dream. And when they fell asleep, they found themselves in a strange world. In there they wandered strangely, one after the other. All were referred to as a 'new ALICE'. And in the real world, they did not awaken for a long time..."
