Feisty, sassy and uncommonly quick, Gala Riviera is the self-proclaimed Princess Thief at the tender age of sixteen. In the sleepless city of Treno where things are to be had for the picking, Gala thrives by following her one code: Take what you can, steal what you can't. As well as specialising in close-quarters combat, she has an eye for powerful magic (literally - her cursed eye is hidden beneath an eye patch). When she started tailing the odd little group who arrived in Treno one evening she found not only two beings with enough magical aura to dazzle her cursed eye, but also a thief with skills to match her own. After being well and truly pick-pocketed by that highly irritating guy with a tail, Gala was wholly in awe (not something that happened often) by their group, and pointed the way to the "Magic Finger" item at the Auction, which could be exchanged for Excalibur from an old man who happened to be Gala's granddaddy. Only much later, when Gala was passing through Alexandria to see what wealth could be made hers did she realise that she had, in fact, encountered the younger Queen Garnet and her lover Zidane.

Set in the world of FFIX, inspired by Zidane himself and Yuffie from FFVII.
