The pencil art challenge (and some of the wonderful work that's been submitted as a result) inspired me to dig out my pencils and charcoal.

Soot sprites and drawing charcoal have a lot in common. They're small, soft, and black, and they leave a sooty mess on everything they touch!

So this is a picture of some soot sprites drawing a Totoro.
