Happy Birthday Kelsey! I hope you have an awesome birthday!

I don’t know where to really start with this one. The idea for the picture was way different then my original idea of a cupcake fairly. Then when I was poking around in sai this very image popped in head and I couldn’t resist!

I gravitated to my semi-realism in this one and I like the style that I’m developing with it, it sort of just happened on it own haha. The pose itself were something new that I never really did before. I usually like doing full body pictures but I’m starting to fall in love with doing busts. The angle that I did was tricky and I had to do a lot of checking back refs to make sure it didn’t look super funky. The coloring is something I’m really proud of. Just a few pictures ago I was fuming how hard it was to color in sai, mostly blending colors. Once I found a good way to color after a whole lot of experimenting I was able to move forward into different styles.

Oh and a super happy Birthday to J.C Elric because it was here birthday yesterday! I actually have a gift art sketched out for you too. Sorry it had to come late but it going to be just a cute and awesome. :D
