Day 2 was Toya's idea. She had us draw our very first original character. Since I don't exactly remember my VERY first, I drew this.
Meet Ruke. He's not a dinosaur. He's a Pwek-- an alien race that I made up. He's also the star of "Pwekeyes" a Star Wars-inspired story that I came up with when I was 12.
I'd get into the plot of "Pwekeyes", but I already did before and I don't really want to retype it.
Instead, I'll ramble about the picture. Ruke is riding a hoverboard thing that he invented. OK, so the technical name is "energy board" in the story. I had to say that so my inner pre-teen won't hate me forever. Ruke seems used to riding his energy board, but his friend, Nuphy, doesn't look like he takes too well going at high speeds. He's hanging onto Ruke's poncho for dear life. The little thing flying alongside them is Cybit, another of Ruke's inventions that actually has a little bit of personality. Kind of. I also decided to include the "logo" for the story. I'm bad at logos. This was the best one I ever invented. And I was 12.

Sketch paper
Photoshop CS5 (for touch-ups)
Although I don't really do much with them anymore the characters and the story are mine. And I still love them.
