My entry for the "I am who I am" challenge by sumirechan. I'm sure its not obvious that Goku is my favorite character as of now (even before, and maybe for all-time). I fell in love with him not only because of his good looks and monstrous appetite (similar to me) but also because I see him as a special character with a good development in the Saiyuki manga series.

THE TYPOGRAPHY:
In the typo effect, I used the words cheerful, straightforward, perpetually hungry (also the name of my world), energetic, high-spirited, innocent, warm and friendly. These are basically Goku's characteristics. Although the words are not that much noticeable. :P

THE QUOTE AND THE EXPLANATION:
"CAN THE THING NOT VISIBLE BE BELIEVED?" is a phrase I saw in one of Goku's pics on the recent Saiyuki Post Card: Yellow. In my own opinion, the quote fits Goku.

"Goku" (as revealed in Saiyuki Gaiden) means "one who can see the void". And his name suits him very well too!

He may be the most child-like among the Sanzo-Ikkou (he's so energetic to the point he becomes annoying), but among the four, he is shown to be the most sensitive. Goku can easily analyze the situation emotionally (and mentally!) though he finds it difficult to explain things well. He appreciates things that are easily ignored by the others and he can see special things on seemingly ordinary ones, externally and internally.

He matured a lot and you can compare his character from Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload and most especially: Saiyuki Gaiden (tells the full story of Goku's past and his "crime" in heaven). Gaiden made me cry.

That's how I can explain the "void" that his name and personality relates to. I'd like to add more things but I may be saying things too much.
