Old Boy

Today, I felt really old because I got an e-mail saying that there's a LOCAL BAKE SALE in my town!
My first natural reaction was, "Ooooh, a bake sake…!"

I laughed the fact that I would never go to a bake sale when I was a lad.
Who else gets excited over bake sales? Maybe they're a new trend now or something… I dunno.

Now I'm strongly thinking about it…
Could it be age preferences?

And PR, I read your comment.
It's gonna take me some time to post a follow up after such a great post!

Thoughts 01

Thoughts:
I had this pop up randomly when I got into the shower today. I'm sure many of you guys have your influences and whatnot. You don't have to take this too seriously.

I'm was thinking about what exactly affects our actions in our lives. Even though we strive to be original, aren't we somehow one way or another not being original? I know, it doesn't make much sense, but it's stuck in my head now.

Afterthoughts:
Even though I'm a bit satisfied with who I am today, I feel like I'm not original yet. Perhaps my standards for originality are set really high. After thinking about it, we have individuality in our own ways. Humans are still imperfect even if they have positive influences. So would those imperfections truly be what makes people original?

After brainstorming about this, it's difficult for me to distinct between becoming a better person and becoming more original. I think it would be best if we somehow kept the two in sync.

My own conclusion:
I guess you can be original if you try. If you take influences from other things and use them to improve yourself more, then do it. Blatant imitation is not good.

Ex: I'm a huge supporter of Thom Yorke from Radiohead. I like his ideas, but I don't agree with everything he says. However, his music from Radiohead and thoughts on climate change still remain with me.

If you have anything that's thought provoking about this topic that you want to add, please do. This is gonna be stuck with me for the whole day now. I feel like I'm falling into an everlasting loop.

Unfortunate for Alice

Hey hey. Just want to rant a bit.

So I'm in this club on MyAnimeList.com (MAL) and we always have these weekly poll things to decide whether or not this character has the qualities of a well defined character. We have a list of inducted characters such as Spike Spiegel and a plethora of characters from Monster and The Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Well, this week it turns out to be Alice Carroll from the Aria series. You can only vote if you've seen at least 75% of a show or manga that she's included in. However, I have some gripes about that requirement.

I think that this is kinda unfortunate because I'm sure a lot of people haven't seen the Origination. I believe that she gets TONS of development there. If I only saw the Animation and Natural (the first two seasons), I'd probably vote no either.. but yeah.

Oh well. There's always loopholes and chinks in any rule anyways. She's still my favorite character from Aria in my heart. :]

Time

It's crazy to think about how the years just flew by.
Three people I knew from my first year of high school just had kids.
Makes me wonder when I'll be a dad in the future.
My guess is that my brother will most likely be one in 2-3 years.
