I hope Cartoon Network will continue showing new episodes of Naruto. It's my favorite anime on tv right now. Right next to Bleach and Code Geass. I'm glad Adult Swim is showing Death Note again too.

I agree with Cartoon Network has really gone down hill lately. They are putting on some really stupid stuff nowadays. I don't watch it as much as I once did. Toonami is what got me hooked on Anime too. All I watch on Cartoon Network now is Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, Code Geass and Inuyasha.

Toonami was the GREATEST.

I would have never been aware that anime existed if it wasn't for that show.

It will surely be missed.

Ah,I remember flipping on the t.v. when I came home from school and watching DBZ and Sailor Moon.Then came YuYu Hakusho and my favorite at the time,Rurouni Kenshin.Besides Pokemon,this is what motivated me to become an anime fan. *sigh*
Yeah..Anime at its finest back then.I've seen Toonami change throughout the years,and I'm sad to see it go so soon.

I remember the classic shows and the current shows that aired on Toonami

Thundercats
Voltron(all time fav series!)
Robotech(They only played the Macross Saga and the Robotech Masters Saga and only played the final episode of the Invid Saga for "Giant Robot Week" which also got me interested in Neon Genesis Evangalion, even though they only played 2 episodes)
Sailor Moon(never got to the Sailor Stars Saga)
Ronin Warriors
The Tenchi Series(Tenchi Muyo was pretty good, Tenchi Universe kicked ass, but Tenchi in Tokyo*Japanese name "Shin Tenchi Muyo"* I thought was pretty lame, but it still had sort of the same charm as the other 2 series. You get props for that)
Dragonball/Z/GT(became a kick ass fav Anime of mine, right up there next to Voltron)
Gundam Wing(they did Toonami the Midnight Run where they played the uncut version of Gundam Wing. I still like the part in the uncut version where Duo yelled out "THE GOD OF DEATH IS BACK FROM HELL!!!". Seriously, that line kicked ass!)

Rurouni Kenshin(That show rocked!)
Cyborg 009(the show was ok, I mean, "Humans forced into becoming Cyborg Weapons going up against the jerks that stole their old lives" thing is a pretty original idea I admit)
Zatch Bell(It was ok, but it had alot of randomness, but not as much as Bo-BoBo-Bo-Bo-BoBo*thats coming up later on in my comment* and at least that show stuck to the plot about the Mamodo Battles*I never saw the final episode*)
One Piece(both the Gayer then Sasuke Uchiha 4kids Version and the Kick-your-Ass-till-shit-comes-out-your-ears FUNimation versions*and by the "Kick-your-ass etc etc etc" part, I mean the MUCH better FUNimation version of One Piece*)
Naruto(which made me figure out right off the bat that Sasuke is Gay*don't get me started on that again, I've been flamed by too many fans of that gay bastard*)

New Adventures of Johnny Quest(They played the same episodes OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN A CONSTANT LOOP! IT WAS PLAYED IN FULL CIRCLE WAY TOO MANY TIMES!! THAT SERIES SHOULD'VE DIED LONG AGO AND IT SHOULD TAKE FUTURAMA WITH IT... INTO THE FIREY PITS OF HELL!!!)
Herculoids/Space Ghost/Birdman(Translation: Gay, Gay and Gay)
Reboot(lame CG Series)
Samurai Jack(or as I like to call it "SCAM-urai HACK")
Bo-BoBo-Bo-Bo-BoBo(that show was nothing but randomness, no plot whatsoever, the randomness gave me a headache so bad that I thought my head was gonna explode)
Rave Master(SOLDIERS AND WARRIORS ARE NOT THE SAME THING!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!! PICK A SIDE ALREADY!!!!!!)
Superfriends/Justice League/Justice League Unlimited(that show sucked, plain and simple)

I'm also not forgetting the shows I lost track of

Zoids(I lost track of that show, but it did get me interested in ZOIDS. I got a "Liger Zero X Action Model" fully assembled in my Room right now)

Thats about it I guess, I may have to edit this comment if something comes up in the dark recesses of my memory about shows that were cool and/or shows that should never be seen again

You were there for me to continue watching DBGT after I had my Heart Surgery in 2005

You helped me become an Anime Otaku

You helped me grow a love for Sailor Moon when I had none for the show whatsoever

You even helped me remember Voltron and look up the differance between the US Dub and the Original Japanese Versions of all Anime in general

To that end, I raise my Glass of Coca~Cola to you, Toonami

From 1997 to 2008, you have always been there for me through thick and thin, Good times and Bad, in Sickness and in Health(and recovering from a major Open Heart Surgery)

No more Toonami?!?! Oh my gosh, like so many of you people here this show was my inspiration to get into anime! I remember watching DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Ruroni Kenshin on that network.....Man this sucks,and not to be a weird-o or anything, but I want more people to become otakus(maybe not as extreme as some people, but you know..) *sigh* Oh well, at least FUNimation channel won't let us down...T^T r.i.p Toonami

I saw this article on anime news network the night toonami was cancelled. it was like 1:15. i don't think i'm ever going to forget that time. i almost died of shock. toonami is what got me into anime. I ran home every day as soon as i got off the bus so that i could get in front of the tv in time 2 watch DBZ, SM, and Tenchi. Plus YuYu. and even when toonami first moved to saturday nights and kenshin and .hack showed up. I probably wouldn't be an otaku if not for toonami. i miss tom and sarah. the new robots were freaky-annoying.
RIP toonami-goodbye 11 years of my childhood.

garbage,i like that.they havent had anything good in years.o and i noticed a couple of you asked about AS.Well,me and my friends looked this up a bit ago,but it should still be right.Well,in other countries,they've had probloms with anime.Like in our good old U.S.A,a kid in i think,Virginia or West Virginia was writing a Death Note and had it in his backpack one day and it turned out that that day,they were wanding then.You know,those annoying random drug/weapon searches they do...Anyhow,they found it and a BUNCH of kids and teachers names in it.Now, just think.Pretend you are not an Anime fan.What would you think a Death Note is?Well, they sent him to the cops and the rest is sorta selfexplanitory.Another.In China,no manga or anime what so ever.The communists Realy didnt like death note.so its illegal now.and finaly,in belguim.they found i think like 2 or 3 bodies and each one had a note with them related to death note.they found out what it was because i think one of the reporters of the story had a kid who like the show and so thats how they got the "Kira Killer of Belgium" headline.one of the bodies was a lady that was dumped in an alley,they think it might of been a med student prank since it was a block away,but it didn't add up to good.the other was a lady always jogged in the park in the morning and one day she saw a man sleeping in the grass.same with the next.but on the third day,she noticed that the man started to smell funny and was turning like a black purple(you guys know.dead people color)and called the cops.i think he realy did die of a heartattack, but there was still a note with him.it might come up if you google it.but death notes been gettin alot of bad publisity.my big bro told me the day that it was going to be on adult swim not to watch it.hes always supervised me since i was young.he watched it and let me go on the computer and play around to keep me busy.he said to just not watch it.my one friend let me borrow the first book, and i was VERY scared for a couple of days.ryuk is what got to me.i couldnt go in my closet for a week.(i am being totally serious!)and now i cant stand to have goofy in my party in kingdom hearts because he always goes "hyuk hyuk"...creepy..i always never lisnten to what people tell me.like when i was 2,they said dont watch chuckie or teh ecorsist.i did.i threw all of my barbies out cause i thought they would come to life on me.weeellll,i think im done here.bye!

I agree,all the goods are gone.When I was younger,me and my brother would come home everyday after school,sit in front of the tv then watch Dragonball,Dragonball Z,Yu Yu Hakusho,then Rurouni Kenshin.And every Saturday,all of my cousins would come down and we all watched kidsWb.Batman Beyond,Cardcaptors,the Original Pokemon,the good Yu-Gi-Oh.And when I was even younger,Sailor Moon,Samurai Pizza Cats,and Tenchi Muyo was the thing.Now we have Naruto and Bleach.I liked Naruto up until they put Sasuke in a barrel cause the story just started to drag on and on and got boring,and with Bleach,it was cool for like the first couple of books.I prefer mangas.Like Trinity Blood is better to read than watch.It was a little to fast paced for me to understand in 30 min at a time,plus the artwork in the manga is gorgeous!But,I rermember always coming home from school and getting made fun of(don't know why,but people just LOVE to pick on anime fans n@..)and I always watched Toonami because it just made me feel better because it helped me understand that everyone gets picked on and has bad days.Like today,this little midget thinks he rules the bus,a year younger than me and theres about a four foot difference and he sat next to me.Him and his little gay-ass friends were starting to get vulgar,so I went to get up and POLITELY asked him TWICE to get up.I personaly wanted to kick his ass right then and there cause he started calling me vulgar things,and I shot them right back,but then I thought,what would Abel do?(see when I have a feeling like happy or sad or realy pissed-off,I like to think of someone who remains calm in tought situations.Usually I think what would my mom do,but she would have probily had other ideas with this little brat,so I calmy stepped over him(yeah he was short enough that I didn't even bump into him as I walked over him)and then he ran to the back of the bus cause he thought I was getting ready to beat him up.So I go to the front of the bus,and hear a scream.He just got stung by a bee because he walked right into it while he was walking back.I think God had some input in that cause most of the time when I get mad,theres no stopping me.I just smiled to myself.See,Anime does help kids out.It doesn't just make them be violent little creatures jumping on the couch trying to spirit gun there older sister in the back of the head or slice them up into little peices.I think I've dont enough ranting for today! Mission Accomplished Snake!(ive been real!!! into MGS lately..)

I grew up on Toonami! Man how I miss those good ol' days with Sailor Moon,DBZ,ReBoot,Yu Yu Hakusho and Outlaw Star. Well R.I.P Toonami and R.I.P Tom and Sara! You shall be missed!
