I bet Scotland must seem tiny, it likely to be smaller than Texas even if France isn't (even combined with the rest of the UK that would probably still be the case). ^^

Yeah, it's pretty big. Like the 3rd largest or something. And I've seen commercials about visiting TX or something like that and one of the bumper stickers says "TX is bigger than France" Not sure if that's true or not. XD
Haha well I do at least know that all the states aren't actually countries, they just remind me of a lot of little one ^^; Is Texas a big state though?
Yeah I tend to use instant messaging with that friend over in America, so if we go on talking to long it can be really late at night for me ^_^; I think the time zone difference would be very important if you were planning to call though haha. But you're right I guess it doesn't make to much of a difference with emails.
Yeah. One person I was talking to here once said "I hear TX is a big country." They were from Canada or something. Time zones don't really matter if you're just sending messages, unless you're IMing each other or calling on the phone.
It seems so confusing that different places in the same country can have different time zones...I suppose it really is big. It always seems like America is like lots of little countries to me ^_^; One of my online friends lives in Virginia, but I've never managed to remember the time difference between us. ^_^; Hours and hours though.
Yeah. It's pretty warm in the southern states, I assume it gets alot colder in the northern states. And a few different time zones too. It's 11:42 here in Texas so that means it's 12:42 in New York and like 8:42 in California, I think. I don't have any others memorized. I only know about NY 'cause I have a few friends I talk online with there and one who used to be living in California.
I suppose that's true, America is such a big country. So the weather must vary a lot more than it does over here from place to place. I've heard the weather can get pretty cold in the winter over there. For some reason I always imagine it warm ^_^;
Well, in TX it's pretty hot but the weather varies from state to state. Like, in winter it can snow maybe 3 feet in NY but like an inch here in north Texas. xD
I'd like to travel all over aswell. I want to go to this art college in Canada, it's an animation college but they have an Illustration course aswell. I'd like to visit America too though, I bet it's certainly warmer than here! ^_^. Yeah a lot of the people that took the optional health class here took it because all the other PD classes were full. So they didn't pay a lot of attention.
Whoa, you're all the way in Scotland? Cool. ^^ I'm in America but I so want to go to a ton of other different countries. One semester of some type of health class is required though not many people use the knowledge we learn in there.
That's the same with our school, they're very strict about being late. Though if we were going to be late from cooking she gave us a note, which was good of her. I just feel uncomfortable walking in late. Wow, you're school sounds diligent about the Health and Safety. Here we don't have a health class that's compulsory. And I don't even think we have AED machines...so we weren't taught how to use them in the optional First Aid classes. Maybe the rules are different in Scotland. Haha it's probably true, the cafeteria food can be pretty bad. ^_^;
I was only late to class once 'cause of cleaning up but I don't mind it. I can't be late too often though 'cause we have strict tardy policies (if you get too many you have to go to court) We only have one cooking teacher. None of us really fool around too much (at least not with knives in our hands) She went over safety rules and stuff first. We even took a test to get a food handler's card, even though we've already started cooking food before that. XD And just CPR (which I already knew from health class) and using an AED machine (though the AED machines here are all locked. Sucks if you're the one having a heart attack -_-; XD) Alot of people think we and the 2nd year students make better food than the cafeteria. ^^
That sounds more relaxed than our class, a whole hour cleaning up! We used to get kept back after class to clean up because she hadn't left us any time! (And I can't stand being late for classes). Our teacher would have murdered anyone who made a mess like that! Once a guy in our class was fooling around a bit and managed to cut his hand with the knife, and we were worrying if he was alright and all she could do was shout at him ^_^; Which severely delayed him going to the nurse. She could be rather strict. The other Teacher was friendlier, but I never had her.
We made popcorn. -_-; And a couple of guys forgot to put a lid on the stove so some of it went flying. It was so messy. Our class is double block (4th and 5th period) and during the remaining 2nd hour we usually spend it cleaning up.
I see, I always found it hard, when we cooked meals. Mostly because of all the time constrictions, my brain went to mush and I forgot what I was doing ^_^; We never really learnt very specific things though. And only 1 block a week was actually used for cooking...the rest were spent watching video's about healthy eating and writing notes ^_^; Which I tended to find a little boring. I think though when you took it later, once it wasn't compulsory they didn't have nearly as much theory work. It was more practical.
Yes, with our names on them, though we did have to pay. ^^; Our class isn't really that hard, we just make stuff for other people and it's not that much of a hands on cooking like "today, we're practicing chopping, slicing, etc." we didn't learn that stuff though a guy from a culinary school did come and show us some stuff.
You get chef hats and jackets!? Our school never does anything like that for the ones that take cooking! I like cooking at home but I'm no good at school ^_^; To much time limitations kill my brain ^_^; So I didn't take it, although it seemed like people enjoyed it.

Haha ^^ We have loads of castles, almost everywhere you go. They're pretty interesting, I suppose that's half the attraction for the tourists.

I don't think we have any castles here. Maybe some mansions. The most famous one being the Playboy mansion XD

I just think of pretty landscape. Don't really think of size that much (that's what SHE said. XD Sorry, it's just some stupid joke here).
