Yeah..Cartoon Network is dying. Nick is doing ok. They never were much for anime anyways, and their old classics are still doing well enough (the cartoons). They're bringing in non-cartoons a lot more 2. CN is as well, but that's not really working for them either.
So Disney has decided to take over the world.
The fact that Disney is trying to gain back Naruto, from what Cartoon network tried, is sad and pathtic. Not only that but its not just cartoon network to blame, it has to do with adult swim. they should have done a better job picking out their anime/how to use it. Trust me the reruns of Death Note is getting on my nevers.
Since Cartoon Network has dropped the ball, Disney is trying to bring in that lost audience. Think about it: they bought Marvel, then they bought the airing rights to Shippuden, and then Epic Mickey. They want an edgy new look while Nickelodeon and CN sizzle like eggs in a frying pan.
I dunno. All things considered, I don't find it that bad. From what has been aired, they haven't added or removed music, dubbed the original opening instead of replacing it, and kept all the voice actors from Naruto (which can be good or bad depending on how you see it. Kakashi FTW). Maybe I'm a bit more lenient or whatever you wish to call it, but the English dub could be far worse. The only difference is that there isn't any blood which may or may not change in coming episodes.
ummm fmab might not be finished yet(haven't got the time to get passed ep 2 T-T) and dubbing usually dosn't happen till the anime has ended plus they need to get a permit to show any tv show on there! if you're wondering why or how i know this it's becuase i wana be a voice actress so i did a little reserch!
Yeah, Cartoon network has gone downhill ever since they took off toonami! Then, they stopped showig a lot of the anime, except for Naruto, but all of a sudden BAM! It's gone!!! And NOW frikken Disney XD shows Naruto Shippuden!! Er, yeah.... I agree with Ed! :D
^^I understand what you're saying, but Cartoon Network is not foreign to refusing to broadcast sequels/remakes. Not to mention that they are denied some rights to certain shows as well--mainly b/c of the way they handle the network (programming now consists of lackluster shows and live-action spinoffs, ugh). I remember anticipating Gundam Seed DESTINY, the rest of Trinity Blood, Naruto SHIPPUDEN (whose English dub is only available online. Sad.), and many other franchises that have faded away from memory.

...Not to burst ur bubble, but they most likely are just waiting for the Dub to come out. I don't think they show any sub on adult swim, and defn'tly not on cartoon network's normal programming block.
