I really fell in love with the image the first time I saw it and tons of ideas burst into my head.
I think everybody felt like that at least once, when you know you are talented, but you can't be happy about it, because someone dislikes your achievement...
Some of the best artists have a corner of their own where they could escape

I wanted to be hard to read, because caged creatures aren't very talkative, they don't like to be open and you must look real close to "read" their souls...and your two reasons are very well pointed, thank you for understanding my point of view..
