You can try to use 2 different fonts, for example :)
And, I can see all the text, but it's hard to see the part which is on the character anyway... You can make the part of the text on the character white, for example, or adding an outline around the text... Just few ideas.

Nice effects on the picture, I just wish the typography was a little bit more creative and, truth to be said, we can't see all of it... :'(
