I totally agree with this. the card is funny and all, but really, getting pregnant before your 21 is the stupidest thing in the world, especially these pacts that their making.

I didn't hear about this, but that's just so wrong. I'm gonna show this to some friends, they'll probably agree that what those girls did is sick and wrong.

AMEN!! I totally agree with you and support this card. Seriously. I have friends that are my age (19 going to 20) who are happily married, but even then have no desire to have kids. In this day and age, it's very expensive to have children. Babysitting alone has taught how much time and energy is spent on children and there is no way I want to have kids now, even if I was married. Children deserve the best care, which requires time, energy, and devotion. Can girls provide all of that at 15-16? I think not. Not only are the girls in HIGHSCHOOL, but they probably don't have the finances to properly care for their kids (finances are only part of the equation).

Don't get me wrong that is great that your cousin has a job and is married but tell me she didn't have to make sacrifices when she did have that child? Please once you get pregnant you lose your childhood. Shes 21 and married already? Thats a bit young but as long as she is happy that is all that counts, but it does ruin a life no matter what one says because you have to grow up quicker.

The Media today is so good at that, making own childhoods shorter and then things like this stupid pact is saying that it is okay to have sex young and get pregnant. That is the point of the e-card, to make others think about the damage that might happen once they have a child.

I am sorry but I am a little mad at ths card. I have a cousin who got pregnant at the age of 16. Now she is 21 with a good job and is married. Getting pregnant young is a bad idea but saying it will ruin your life is wrong and a bit ignerent. Teen pregnancy is a problem in this country yes but understand that most of those teen girls are working hard, going to college and living full lives with there child. I think you had the right idea with this card but used the wrong wording.

Britain is in just a bad a state, teen pregnancy is unbelievable high and even worse if you have a baby underage the government will look after you forevermore, whereas if you stick by the rules and study hard you're forgotten. Reviews raved on about how wonderful and heartwarming Juno was, and yet its probably as unrealistic about teen pregnancy as you get. I'm not laying the blame on the film, teen pregnancy has been on the increase for a while, but it probably didn't help matters.

Well said Iruka...I agree 100%. Girls that want babies who are just babies themselves shouldn't ruin their lives like this. I mean, how thrilling, at that age, is becoming a mother? Like you said, you lose half your life when you go and get pregnant at that age. It's just wrong and yes, the media should stop doing stuff like make movies like that. Doing that only gets the girls mores interested.

But I am standing by you on this one. I'm 20 years old and yet to have sex. I'm more clear-minded than those girls are. Personally, I have no interest in becoming a mother. I don't really like kids in the first place. I'm more an animal person >>;

I haven't heard the story or ever heard of the movie. But sounds like they should go on that new series coming out where teens thinking their ready for parenthood are given babies and toddlers and then old people in need of care to take care of for two weeks and let them learn the true reality of it. At lunch with my sister we were discussing the new show and she had a valid point when she said that kids like that see other people with babies and little kids all smiling and happy and content or infants so cute and cuddly and sleeping peacefully not knowing that this isn't how it is in reality all the time! Though I don't have kids and over 21 I know that they may seem cute and sweet but quite peaceful times are probably a lot more rare than stupid kids like that believe. Their probably only childs or no little siblings to know that reality. Again no true knowledge of this other than through a little babysitting. But if any of those girls truly believe that their boyfriends will stick by them once their knocked up then they'll be in for a shock when their dumped in a heartbeat!

OMFG I heard that on channel 5 abc news last week! It's SO true that you'll ruin your life that way if you do it to early.It's SO sick. Right, I've been reading about that whole pregnancy pact thing. The girls are denying they actually had a pact, but I wouldn't be surprised.

And seriously, abstinance-only sex education is jsut trying to sweep the problem under the rug.
