This is one of my favorite Latin quotes that I learned in the 8th grade at Latin (yak! although I hate Latin I always loved to read the quotes ^___^), from the first time I saw it I loved it...and I think it suits KIRA perfectly.
I always wanted to use it in one of my works and Light Yagami gave me the perfect opportunity ^___^
