Have the character doing whatever fits their personality. Like someone waiting on a call, making a call, changing clothes, or just eating the phone. Just some sort of interaction between the character and the phone booth.
Now, when you say to draw the character in a phone booth, do you want the character(s) to be doing something specific in the phone booth? Such as changing identities like Superman? Or does it not matter?
Creative challenge, by the way~ One thing I've never drawn before is a phone booth, which caught my attention in the first place haha~
Yes and the janitor's closet in the Daily planet as well. But the phone booth was part of Superman's shtick like the Batmobile is part Batman's Shtick.
It should be noted that in the old '40s cartoons, he'd also change in empty offices and once in the back of a cab after the driver had fled to avoid the building falling on it.
