Poor Sephiroth seems wrought with sorrow, the heavy burden world destruction seems like a tough thing to shoulder. This pic is so full of feeling, I weep onto my keyboard.

it could have been from cutting jenovas head off...but it originally wasn't supposed to have blood on the sword i just made a mistake and covered it up with blood....yup.
