Well my only thought is the back leg on our right should have the hoof pointing inward. It just makes the leg feel twisted the way it is now. But overall for a horse you did a good job.
You asked about colored pencil general tips. These are the only ones that I can think of.
-Watch you stroke size. The width your pencil goes does make your color tighten and more solid. This is talking about how much white of your paper you can see through your stroke after you pass your colored pencil over it.
-I usually use a three color method. Each color needs a light, medium and dark. Usually I use the lightest color as a base for that colors area. The medium gives most of the shape. Than use the dark to define the edges. (And dark doesn't nessacarily mean black. But white can be the lightest color.)
