Where I live, he hasn't died yet either. Here's the story: After Sasori died, he wanted to kill Orochimaru since Sasori wanted to kill him, yet was unable to. But Deidara heard Sasuke killed Orochimaru and he was outraged. Then he went and challenged Sasuke with intent to kill. He turned himself into a bomb in an attempt to kill Sasuke. Sasuke sacrificed Manda, Orochimaru's snake, to save himself. Deidara detonated himself and thus died. I'm sad now...
