I love the way oils look; they have a certain texture, a depth or thickness. This depth clearly shows in her face, for her face appears to be more than a mere 2-d image imitating a 3-d object. Additionally, the coloring not only rivals but also surpasses many CG works. (I'd like to see this work in a more natural light, that is, to have the actual physical painting in front of me.) The whole work looks natural and unforced.
Wow! This is really good! I noticed she looked more cartoony than your previous works, so I wasn't surprised to when you said it was an oil study of a figurine. I really like it though. You did a fabulous job with the coloring!
