lol Thanks. This is a really old pic and I actually discontinued the comic.
The story was written by someone else and I felt like I was being box in by the FMA art style. Now I am about to launch a Dragon Age fan comic that I created and draw in my own art style. (I have a writer to put it into words for me. lol) If you'd like to see my current work then please check me out on Deviantart. http://dkyingst.deviantart.com/
Here's my suggestion! Do lineart first.... finish it that way, and then when you're done, go back in and either color it or use grayscale. That way at least you'll have the story and the artwork done, and then you can take your time coloring it.
Or just your personal preference, of course! Go with what you feel you can do! I chose grayscale for my comic because I found that easier than color!
Lineart/outline - It's neat, clean and very well done. I prefer it much. I'd probably take a manga drawn like that more seriously compared to the other two (even if the other two require more time) :)
You did all of them so nicely! But I think that color should be for the first two pages of each chapter and then the rest should be lineart. Especially in some fighting scenes, color would be a bit helpful. Or grayscale[for fighing scenes]. That's enough of my opinion^ ^[I like the lineart part of this pic x3 For some reason it reminds me of Naruto o:] Cherrio~!
^_^ aw thank you!!!!!!!! i will keep that in mind. but heres the thing. color and grayscale take the same amount of time. i think the manga artist do it in grayscale because it is cheaper to mass produce that way.hmmm......but i will kept what you said in mind. that is quite a smart trick.
maybe you should do this, do like the first two or three pages in color for every chapter, and the rest in greyscale. it gives the readers a bit more to look forward to. ;)
hmmm... your line art and color are both very good but the greyscale leaves something to be desired. so final verdict i would say 1st: line art 2nd: color 3rd: greyscale
Wow they both look great.^^ but i always liked graystyle or line art better, color in manga doesnt seem right to me....im such a hypocrite.i color mine.>..< Now im getting off topic...crap.^^'...id choose either line art or gray style.^^

Why not lineart with backgrounds/minor details in grayscale? For visual interest... but lineart looks best.

I like the color. It gives you more detailing opportunity.

Actually, scratch the grayscale being for fighting scenes. Grayscale looks more like a "dark-room-of-interrogation" effect.

The color is definitely more eye-catching, but your lineart is also so crisp and clean, I'd choose one of those two. ^_^
