Love the part about Hitler. And you're also right, it's not their place to judge what art should go on the site or not -- unless it's offensive! Anyways, I think this pic is cute! You did a pretty good job! I like his hair!
Ah, we enter the somewhat controversial issue of what constitutes our ideas and judgments of something being considered "art".
It would have been nice to see the original art in its original context, but that didn't happen. I say this because it would have given us a different perspective on the original creation itself. Rather, we now have to judge this creation in terms of a critique. This itself can be problematic because it may cause some to think that the sole function of art is to be purely aesthetic--something nice to look at. If indeed art is something visually pleasing, then we come to another difficulty: by what criteria is something judged visually pleasing?
I'll have to think this over some more, so I can understand it within the context of the total collection of art on this site. I have to understand its place and function. That said, for what may appear as a simple creation, is in fact not. Intriguing.
i agree straigt up with what u mean. if its anime-styled art website, then why the hell do they have a catagory for SPONGEBOB???????????????//slash
n no matter what u put on paper, it is still art, whether its good or not.
