I really like the style, and I do agree noses can be very awkward. I'm currently expanding my style into a more realistic look, its fun.

I think your way of drawing realism is very unique, it still has a look of your own touch while still looking realistic.
The way you shaded this also looks very nice. Very detailed and beautiful. :]
