This story is similar to the one my mom scared me with when I was small. Except it was the velvet ribbon(or th red ribbon,can't remember which and when she married her husband he took it off when she slept and her head fell off and rolled away.

Yeah, there's a ton of versions to that story. My favorite was the 'red ribbon' where her husband removes it after their marriage while they're in bed.
That aside, very lovely interpretation of it. I love how you used the colored patterns in the hair and dress. It makes her very elegant.

oooooooooh, i remember that story! every halloween my friend would bring in the same book of scary stories and we would always read that one. and then people started ruining it beacuse by 5th grade people started asking "wtf did the husband do?(cus our version her husband took it off) did he scream? and what were everyone else's reaction? and if her head fell off because the ribbon connected it, wouldn't that mean she wuz DEAD in teh first place? and what if someone took it off when she wasnt noticing? and did she get a tan form the ribbon?" ah well, i love this picture :) the colour is great, and teh dress design is so :D. *:D, adjective, meaning awesome, cool, origins from lazy typers in chat rooms* the end.

I HEARDED THAT STORY WHEN I WAS LITTLE! MY TEACHER READ IT TO ME IN A BOOK but the ribbion was red instead of green
