Thanks, everyone! I still see a few things I could have tweaked, but I am overall satisfied with how it turned out...

I think what drew me to attempt this is the shadowing - in the actual photograph, you can see the shadow on the ground - while the leg seems to vanish, you can see in the shadow how its bent...so I tried to re-create that as best as I could.

That's a tough angle. Nice job on the pose!
