I understand. I'm just getting the hang of it. Actually, one thing that's helping me with that is drawing other people's characters. I must think and draw the main characteristics that make that character look like that character even before I put clothes on them. So making Asuka-chan look like Asuka-chan is all in the eyes and hair. Her clothes constantly change so I have to rely on those two traits. :]

No wai~ You can't? With your art skill, you should be able to! That's very important I think. I always used to stress myself to be able to flex my drawing ability so well that I could mimic another's drawing style easily. I don't want to get stuck in my own. But I want to master my own before I get stuck with no style to speak of.
I think you can draw your character the same. She came out right to me in the two submissions you have of her. :} I'll try to keep her as original as I can. But for now, I'll let you see that Chibi sketch I made. I have to go to work now so I'll clean it up and upload it when I get back okay? :]

Just to give you an update.. I have been sketching your Asuka-chan~ But I'm having slight difficulty retaining the style you drew her in. -Making it look like her in other words. I'm still trying to figure out her main characteristics. Like I know the ribbon and the sword's makeup. The hair in the ponytails. .. and the clothing. But that aside, I want to try to capture Asuka-chan before I even add all of those things. So with that said, it may take a little more time. I'd say I'd have something over the next two weeks. And if your interested, I draw a drafty sketch of the two characters in chibi-like form. I didn't plan on submitting it but if you want to see it, I'll clean it up and show it to you. :3

i'll try to find time to color it cause right now i have too many things to finish too..^^; i'll inform you if i'll be able to color it..^^
Now all I need to do is find a little time to get started on it. I have a good idea though. In return, how's about you color it for me? :P I don't have a tablet for Photoshop or anything but if you colored it, that'd be awesome. (Then again, doing so would make this a legal ArtTrade. xD)
