hmm, if this based kinda off like the, "Alic in Wonderland theme"
why not make it like a card? Follow the orientation of a card, with a person on top and person on bottom? And use Alice as the person (I explained it like crap XD sorry)

I dunno, it might take a whlie because cards are so detailed, but it would look really cool!

OR, this would be really confusing to the eye, but cool, you draw Alice falling down the rabbit hole? like you're looking down at her fall, and make the inside of the rabbit hole like a diamond pattern? It would look really cool.

Wow, this is lovey!

I like that you kept the traditional sky blue and white and added the stripes and checkered print. You did it simpley so it looks really oringal and fresh! The little black bow is really cute too!

I like how her name is in the spilled tea too! :D

As far as the background you could put poker cards, clocks, tea set, (other alice in wonderland items) in the BG but in a more absract way.
