So you hate the whole cross dressing thing? Wow that sucks. You know you should really learn to think out side the box sometimes! But hey I cant tell you how to juddge and think so whatever! I´m cool with whatever you say.
I think that´s awesome that you get to see the characters past. When I was working on my comic there was going to be more of that. Uh, but when your doing those past things just be sure to remember to keep it relevant towards your characters story. Like ask yourself why is this important? And what not. But hey I´m sure you know that! Your an amazing writer!

Yes, he is! haha He looks alot better in my 'on paper' comic, though. I originally drew all my characters without noses because I really sucked at drawing them at the time. So they turned out really cute! Yeah, I think Toby is one of my faves to draw.
Well, I'm not really for the whole 'gay movement/crossdressing' thing, especially in anime. Plus, she becomes a christian later on...in 'present times'. This is actually a pick of them in the past. One of my main characters that also comes a little later on has flashbacks all the time. So you get to see the characters in the past.
Sometimes I just want to print out a picture of an anime face from profile, 3/4 view and front and just use it as a guide for my drawings. haha

As for Ekimo. Well, I think she should be a boy but a cross dresser. But hey not my character! Ha ha ha.
Again try working on alignment like with their faces. A good way to study alignment is by looking at your own face. Like where your eyes align to your nose and your ears. Once you study your own face you can move on to study others in magazines and such.
...well that´s just what I did. Like even to this day I still stare for hours at myself in the mirror. And its not because I´m vain! Ha ha ha.
