Isn't this a maiko? (sorry, I'm way pedantic.....) Geisha don't have their own hair styled, and don't wear those kind of kanzashi (hair ornaments). But I still love this!!
Niiice!! :D All those details and flowers, and her expression, I don´t know how to describe it, but I really, really like it.
If you call this a ´rough draft´ I really don´t know what to expect when it is finished.
Gooood luck in that contest!
Thank you so very much! I've never done a traditional geisha, and they are just so beautiful and graceful so I wanted to try my best at one. I'm glad you like it so far!

Wow. Thank you very much!
I took lessons for four years as a extra-curricular class. But my teacher moved and I havent taken any lessons for about three years. And I've always been talented at realistic drawings, and portraits are my favorite. My art teacher at school pretty much lets me do my own thing, so I teach myself for the most part now.
Wow Kachi-Chan!! This is so incredibly beautiful so far! The details on this draft is really amazing and her geisha's expression is so sincere, it just makes me smile back at her. ^_^ This picture really shows the beauty of Japan culture! I look forward to seeing the finished work of this! :D
I think you will do amazing in the contest! Best of luck to you^^ You can do it! *hugs*
Wonderful job so far my friend and keep up the great work! ^_^

@ArisuChou:
Thank you! And yes, it is a maiko. I actually did a lot of research for this piece, and I learned all about the meanings of things like that.
