eeeeeek~ it's gauche! (yeah...i've read the first few chapters of tegami bachi, it's a great manga :D)
personally, i think the doodle looks pretty good! the only problem i see is his shoulders - they look like they're a little out of alignment.
anyways, with that aside, i think the black-and-white looks good on him! (heck, i would do that too - i don't know what color his eyes are anyway) and by the way, thanks for letting me know about the manga~! i can say that it's one of my faves now. :3
