um... the basics are just put everything that should be separate on different layers, then first lay down the base colors opaquely. after that just choose darker or lighter colors (I don't use different layers for shading cuz I'm too lazy) using slightly transparent brush... of course tablet helps but I don't really have any tricks, no pen tool or anything, just different brushes... lol that really doesn't help XD I guess it's just about finding what you like... I do use dodge for small highlights but I prefer to stay away from burn
oh u moved out..? i know.. winnipeg is cold.. XD i missed out last year's ai-kon.. too much activities at school and couldnt spare time but i might go this year.. just to look around.. heheh..
ai-kon? - is that like an anime convention? - i cant remember what they call the one here ^_^'
oh well - in regards to art - yeah that pose looks really difficult - but the colors are really light and matches the pic/mood perfectly
