Oooo, so only a few miner changes to the story between the book and the movie. That pretty good considering, some based on book movie screw it all up. But, then again, I don't read much (well not anything that isn't a manga.).
The original bokk is pretty good. It's by a british author named Diana Wynne Jones, and surprisingly, the story line wasn't chaneged much. Of course there weren't any flying machines, and the war wasn't a big of a part of the story line....but when it's Hayao Miyazaki-sensei, you can't expect the story to not have flying machines and wars. =D
Yeah I know which one your talking about....I think (emphasis on think) that It's called Castle in the Sky.....

heh, yup....
On Funimations's Baccano! site, they have the first 2 episodes I think....I love Baccano! tho. It's pretty funny in a psycopathic murderous way. =D
So, which ones of Miyazaki's have ya watched? I think I've watched almost all of them so far...cept for Ponyo, Totoro, and then there's this one with a flying pig and another one with a cat in a suit....I dunno the names of these ones...o_O

Yeah...whenever anyone complains about Inu (or any of Rumiko Takahashi's work, actually) the length is one of their cheif problems. And yes, Naraku is a very good example of a completely evil black-hearted villain. =D

Mm, good point. But see, that's the reason I don't fallow the manga, it's too far into it now, it'll take me forever to catch up to the current vol. That's why I only read FMA now...plus, it's kinda hard to get into the mangas after not reading them for a long time. T__T
But, on another note, I'm not surprised that Naraku escapes certain death at the hands of Inuyasha and the others, he's like the uber villein(sp?), He's just a total badass. XD
Ah, but Inu's team never loses. Somehow, even tho they're beaten to a pulp, half of them are unable to fight, and they're facing overwhelming odds, they win. Such is the life of the shonen heros. =D And they do kill him in the end...he (Naraku) just has to keep escaping so that the series will go on longer. =D *ni* Thanx for signing.

Oh yeah, So the homunculi don't really stand much of a chance...however, Naraku has been able to escape Inu's team on many different occasions so....yeah. xD
lol I agree, this was a fun conversation. :3
And you were right, that's how it's spelled. owo
plus, the Inu characters are all heros-that pretty much guarantees (sp?) that they'll beat the homunculi. cuz that's what always happens.
*ni* this has been a fun conversation. thanx!
and you are completely withing ur rights to stand by ur OTP. =D
lol Kikyo, a woman of few words...and many insults. XD
Ah, quite right, so in hind sight the homunculi don't really stand a chance against them, not without the philosopher's stone or the jewel shards, and even then there's a 20% chance that they'll get their asses handed to them. I'm pretty much in awe at this point in the conversation (dumb struck at most).
and all that aside, I still stand by my sessenvy OTP (lol offhanded statement.). :P
a quarter of each of those movies was the characters building up for their attacks. =D poor Kagome, she may be an epic fail at fighting, but she is very good at getting kidnapped. =D weeellll, as for the Inu characters being outnumbered, somebody could always somehow mysteriously get Sesshy and Koga to help. It's not like that hasn't happened befre. plus, Kikyo might randomly appear, kill someone, say something rude to InuYasha, and leave. =D
Last edited by otaku le fae at 9:13:01 PM EDT on June 15, 2009.
XD That's a good point. And Kagome, since she can't hit squat, Would be the most targeted out of all the members of Inuyasha group...so even if they had warning from her, they'd still be pretty safe, Plus she has jewel shards so she'd likely get kidnapped. lol though now that I think of it, Inuyasha and the others would be out numbered (4 against 7), so no matter how strong they are they don't really stand a chance...then again Kaguya and whats-their-faces were a challenges too, I mean really, Their battles lasted an entire movie (on separate accounts). I:
That's ok. The only reason i've heard of the meidou zangetsuha is because when the last chapter came out in Japan, I went to the Inuyashacompanion.com and read what happened. I don't even know if the english manga has gotten that far. hhmmmm, Kagura always escapes by flying....uuuummmm, i'm thinking that Sloth and Envy could probly survive....maybe Wrath......if he transmuted something quickly enough. It's not like they won't have plenty of warning, since it takes everyone on InuYasha a good minute just to say the name of their attack. =D
The Windscar? hmmm....I'm not sure. If it could destroy the homunculi I don't think they'd be able to come back from the blast (What are they, Alucard?). Though I do think that they could escape from it before it could really obliterate them (God knows Kagura did. lol).
Meidou Sangetsuha? Never heard of it. *dosen't read the manga as much as she should* Sounds interesting though.
Good point. It would be easier for Sango just to beat up Miroku this time.....hhhmmm, I wonder if the Wind Scar would have any effect? would that kill the homunculi (when it completely destroys the body)? or could they regenerate from that? InuYasha and Sesshomaru do have attacks that could destroy the homunculi tho. It's called meidou zangetsuha (it's only in the manga so far) and it works like the wind tunnel. =D
Last edited by otaku le fae at 11:32:47 PM EDT on May 21, 2009.
Right, However, And I state this again The homunculi are practically immortal, So Sango would probably be wounded with her weapon, cause Lust would probably send it right back at her (or slice it in half with her awesome fingers of doom.). And even then, don't you think Sango would be a little fed up with following Miroku around to keep him from touching girls bums and asking them to bare his children?
And on that note, Envy could morph into Miroku and make a total mess of things while Lust distracts the original. XD
hmmm, but the homunculi would still be sucked into the wind tunnel if they went w/ the mantis approach, and Miroku's wind tunnel can be fixed.....I think it would probly be better to go w/ Lust's approach. But then wouldn't Sango do her usual enraged attack and murder all of the homunculi in the space of a few minutes? hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....oh, and it's 'broad"-u were right.
Oh yes, the wind tunnel. They would be doomed to the abyss when faced with Miroku...or Envy could just pull a giant mantis demon move and nick his wind tunnel, or before something like that even happens Lust can act as a distraction (since Miroku's a womanizer and Lust is all "Bow-chika-wow-wow" XD). And yes Kagome aim sucks, She couldn't hit the broad(?) side of barn with that arrow. X3
My sentiments exactly my dear Incubohost *gets hit in the head w/ Holmes's violin* =D anyway, the homonculi would probly survive every attack from the Inu cast....'cept for maybe Mirioku's wind tunnel. I'm not sure if even a homunculi could get out of that once they've been sucked in. and Kikyo and Kagome are pretty much useless, especially Kagome. she doesn't even hit what she's aiming for half of the time. =D
Right, because The homunculi aren't demonic being nor are they human, so purification wouldn't really work on them (Since the only way to kill a homunculus is by way of which they were created.). So Kagome and Kikyo are pretty much useless in a fight against the homunculi.
then again, I think those two are pretty useless to begin with. lol
Thank you. And I dunno.....The homonculi would be unstoppable, but the sacred jewel shard could be purified by Kagome or Kikyo....but then they'd still be more powerful than demons and probly still kick everyone's but.
Oh! That's brilliant, an excellent point there. I guess the sacred jewel would be stronger then the philosopher's stone cuz of the demon soul inside of it, not to mention Midoriko's soul.
The Homunculi would be virtually unstoppable at that point...or would they be? oxo
hmmm, sorta.....actually, if you think about it, both are made of souls aren't they? so, the sacred jewel shard would probly work very well for a homunculi.....with the demon souls, it might be stronger even.....hmmmmm?
Oh lol, I didn't think about that...No I don't suppose they would do good together in alience sense, But I think they'd would make a good crack pairing (reason why their my OTP). XD
Anyway, I see what you're saying and I agree, They'd probably try to kill each other before the battle even started. <X3 And in that case then Envy could join forces with Naraku. XD
Oh really? Well I'm glad you think so, cuz I feel the same why. ^w^
Good point---but, would Envy and Sesshy be able to work together? cuz Sesshy has a pretty bad history of working together with someone else, and I'm not sure Envy would be able to go very long w/out ticking Sesshy off. and then they'd fight. =D Don't apologize for over-analyzing, this has been a fun conversation. ^,^ *ni*
oh, yeah...well kinda. Ed and Inu should still worry, cuz if Envy and sesshomaru joined forces, they would be screwed. XD
cuz I see it like this, Envy and Sessh both have something in common (well two things actually).
1.) They are both evil half brothers (I'm going by the first FMA anime).
and 2.) They both hate the main characters of the series that their in (i.e. Ed and Inuyasha).
Good point....they'd probly end up killing each other...or, more likely (since they're both to stubborn) they'd still be battling each other for the next thousand years.....Inu and Ed would be happy. =D
Last edited by otaku le fae at 7:58:24 AM EDT on May 17, 2009.
Ah ha, I see your point there. However, I believe Envy only needs like a 2 or 3 second delay to get the upper hand on Sesshy.
and again, there's the whole regeneration thing Envy has going for him, so he'd make a pretty difficult opponent for the great demon lord Sesshomaru. lol
hmmm, Envy's just evil enough to do that....although, then again, Sesshy might still kill him even if he changed into Rin....-.-' throwing Jaken would probly only delay Seshhy for about 2 seconds.......poor Jaken. =D
I think Envy's a bit more clever then that, I think he'd use Rin against Sess. either in her form, or Rin herself (Or he could just chuck Jaken at him as diversion XD).
Plus, Envy's a hard little bugger to kill.

a quarter of each of those movies was the characters building up for their attacks. =D

XD
wow I didn't think I spelled that right. owo

hmmm, but the homunculi would still be sucked into the wind tunnel if they went w/ the mantis approach, and Miroku's wind tunnel can be fixed.....I think it would probly be better to go w/ Lust's approach.

Oh, I'm not sure. oxo I guess a jewel shard would be like a small piece of the philosopher's stone...but it's not exactly the same thing. lol

Naraku would love that. =D Although, I'm not sure what he'd offer him to team up.....hmmmmm....Would a sacred Jewel shard work for a homonculis? =D

Ed and Inuyasha).
lol sorry, I analyze things too much. ^__^;

Good point....they'd probly end up killing each other...or, more likely (since they're both to stubborn) they'd still be battling each other for the next thousand years.....Inu and Ed would be happy. =D
