A few suggestions I should give, now that you have a tablet:
1. Try to use a thinner brush when you are tracing or drawing line art... For example, if you use Photoshop Elements, brush size 4 of the normal round brush is perfect. It's not too thick, and not too thin.
2. Also, try to use one stroke for one line. That way it doesn't look sketchy. If you mess up, use the undo button :3
And that's it ^^ I just thought I'd give you a few tips that I WASN'T given so that you can learn to CG better and faster than I did >w<

Yeah, tablets have their learning curve but the best when you finally start turing out great art!
